" My name is Aoi Akimitsu, i'll be in your care."
I slightly bowed and introduced myself, with that the self introduction was done. A couple passed behind my chatting as I raised my head.
"Alrighty~ Akimitsu-kun then, why do you want to join the literature club?"
"Well, I like reading books."
My reasoning to check out this club was straightforward, It would give me a place and excuse to read to my heart's content.
I wasn't a bookworm who did nothing but read, it just a hobby of mine that I wanted to enjoy.
" I don't see any better reason then that!"
Shio- senpai enthusiasticly put her hands together.
"Shall we give you a form then?"
Before replying immediately I decided to use this chance to think a bit more about the two people infront of me.
Tanabe-senpai, seems laid back but quite capable and Shio-senpai seems to be the energy of the club.
While Tanabe wore casual clothes, Shio wore a spring dress for the occasion. It looked perfect on her and Her wavy brown hair was elegantly styled to one side.
But just as I evaluated to two of them in my head, I felt Tanabe- senpai's sharp gaze and instinctively looked towards him. Was he reading me like I was trying to read them?
" So do you wanna sign up now?"
Shio senpai's pleasent voice brought me back to reality.
" Yes please."
they gave me a paper from a stack on the table and I did the paper work right infront of them. I was lucky I had such an opportunity to talk to them.
The literature club must not be popular or else I would long have been pushed out of the way by other interested students.
"Welcome to the literature club!"
"Senpais, since i'm a club member now, may I have your contact information?"
" Of course, Here you go."
I exchanged numbers with both my senpais. It was my first interaction with seniors at this college and it went well.
I parted ways with the club members and was about to start my second attempt at finding Kenji when a peculiar sight caught my attention.
Some distance from me, Uzami was hanging around with a gang of girls. Except, this time it was the same gang who constantly insulted her.
I recognized the gang leader in an instant. Long black hair with a mole under her eye, she was impossible to miss.
I craned my neck to look over the crowd and tried to follow their movements. It seemed like they were walking away from the club fair. Why? I had no idea.
Should I call Uzami? Is she in trouble? Those thoughts easily took over my conscience but then my earlier encounter came to mind.
She said not to mind them, besides I don't want to get caught up in some girl drama. They definitely had a history and there were alot of things i didn't know here. I can't form any sort of concrete picture so for now, I should just leave it alone.

" so there they are."
It was near the end of the club fair and the crowd had dispersed. My view became much more free and I stopped Kenji and a red haired girl, whom I assumed was his girlfriend, walking down the path to the club fair exist.
"Hey Kenji!"
I called out to him. He and the red head turned to see the caller with a look of surprise. His face broke into a smile after seeing me.
" Heyo, you finally found us huh, what great navigation skills."
" Hah-hah" I laughed dryly.
" How'd the fair go?"
" Joined the chess club, you?"
" Literature club."
Kenji smirked as if satisfied with something.
"Sounds just like you."
" it's also like you to give a late introduction."
"Ahahaha, that's right."
The red head had been looking at us with curiosity the whole time we talked.
Kenji smirked at her too and put her arm around her. At the same time, she broke into a cute smile.
" This is my new girlfriend, Shirashi-san."
" That's me~"
The girl in question was undoubtedly cute and wore a hoodie dress that matched her hair
