Skies Above Lake Valor, Sinnoh Region
Riding atop his Garchomp, Paul arrived just in time to witness a violent explosion at the center of the lake. Below, an enraged Barry was glaring at a retreating aircraft—one unmistakably belonging to Team Galactic.
"Follow that aircraft!"
Knowing the battle below had already concluded, Paul decisively patted Garchomp on the head, signaling a change of course. Without hesitation, the Dragon Pokémon adjusted its trajectory, accelerating in pursuit of the fleeing vessel.
"Gaaaar!"
Despite its incredible speed—faster than most conventional aircraft—Garchomp was no match for Team Galactic's advanced high-tech modifications.
Within moments, the aircraft disappeared beyond the horizon.
However, Paul already knew where it was heading—Mt. Coronet. Following an unexplainable yet profound instinct, he continued flying toward that destination.
Suddenly, a black dot appeared in his field of vision, heading in the exact same direction.
Within seconds, the figure drew closer. Only then did Paul realize—it was another Garchomp, and riding atop it was a stunning blonde woman.
"Gaaaar!"
"Aaahh!"
Without needing words, the two Garchomp instinctively aligned their flight paths, greeting each other with a synchronized cry.
"Miss Cynthia, are you here to stop Team Galactic?"
The winds howled around them as Paul kept his question brief.
"Mt. Coronet is radiating strange energy change. I received intel and came to investigate."
Cynthia replied just as concisely.
"Use Dragon Dance—accelerate."
Paul was well aware that his Garchomp couldn't match Cynthia's in speed. The only way to keep up was to boost its velocity.
As for the extra energy consumption? That wasn't a concern. He had Berries on hand to recover stamina.
With that, Paul's Garchomp unleashed Dragon Dance, quickening its pace as they continued toward Mt. Coronet.
Approaching Mt. Coronet...
"Paul! Miss Cynthia!"
Just as they neared their destination, a voice called out from above.
Turning their heads, they spotted Lucas approaching on the back of his Togetic.
"I sneaked a Team Galactic hideout and found their exact target location at Mt. Coronet. Follow me!"
As he spoke, Lucas lifted a high-tech map in his hand, then urged Togetic forward, leading the way.
Watching this unfold, Paul couldn't help but think—this guy really is a protagonist. Not only he was skilled, but his luck is absurd. Who else could sneak into a Team Galactic base and stumble upon such a crucial piece of intel complete with a map?
Unlike the bumbling Pokémon League officials or even the International Police, who somehow lost all their data on Team Galactic due to a single corrupted Ruby file—utter incompetence.
Suddenly, up ahead, an aircraft hovered in midair. Standing near the open hatch was a purple-haired Team Galactic officer, accompanied by a Skuntank.
"Tch, why is it always me standing guard?"
Saturn sighed, clearly dissatisfied as he watched the mysterious gateway open—unlocked using the Lustrous Orb, Adamant Orb, and the Red Chains.
"Wha—!?"
A sudden chill ran down his spine. He turned, only to see a dragon-shaped wave of energy hurtling straight toward him.
BOOM!
A violent explosion erupted. As the smoke cleared, Skuntank lay unconscious on the ground. And before Saturn could react, three figures had already landed—Paul, Lucas, and Cynthia.
"Where are they?"
With their combined strength, the group quickly subdued the remaining Team Galactic grunts. Searching the aircraft, they found several captive International Police agents—including Looker.
"Looker, we'll leave the rest to you."
Cynthia spoke, her tone was firm.
All the grunts had been neutralized, their Pokémon was confiscated. There was no need for her to stay. Right now, the priority was pressing forward.
Spear Pillar – The Summit of Mt. Coronet
"Wait! Hold up! Don't leave me behind!"
Just as they were about to enter, Barry arrived—soaring in on his Staraptor.
"Then let's go together. We have to stop Team Galactic."
Cynthia didn't waste words. Time was of the essence. Taking the lead, she stepped onto the glowing staircase and advanced toward the depths of Spear Pillar.
"Everyone, focus on stopping Team Galactic!"
Reaching the entrance, the trainers released their Flying-type Pokémon, sending them ahead to intercept Team Galactic's forces.
Inside Spear Pillar...
Cyrus, accompanied by Mars, Jupiter, and Saturn, stood at the heart of the sacred chamber. The three Lake Guardians—Uxie, Mesprit, and Azelf—were restrained, their psychic energies being manipulated by the Red Chains.
With a flick of his wrist, Cyrus activated the orbs, summoning the rulers of time and space—Dialga and Palkia.
Just then, an unseen force surged through the chamber. In an instant, every Team Galactic grunt was lifted off their feet, suspended in midair.
"What!?"
"What's going on!?"
"This… this feeling…"
Mars, Jupiter, and Saturn stared in shock. Only Cyrus, protected by the control gauntlets, remained unaffected.
The two Garchomp struck like shadows, effortlessly neutralizing Team Galactic's remaining Pokémon.
"Viree~"
"Togee~"
Electivire unleashed a pinpoint Thunderbolt, striking the Red Gems on the Lake Guardians' foreheads—shattering their restraints. At the same time, Togetic fired an Aura Sphere, obliterating the machine controlling the Red Chains.
Lucas and Barry rushed forward, catching the weakened Uxie and Azelf in their arms, comforting them.
Meanwhile, Paul… showed no such gentleness.
With an emotionless expression, he grabbed Mesprit by the scruff like a misbehaving puppy. Without hesitation, he tapped a Poké Ball against its head, attempting to capture it.
"Yah?!"
The next second, Mesprit snapped out of its daze and broke free, staring at Paul in utter disbelief.
I had such high expectations for you, and you try to catch me?!
Realizing the urgency of the situation, Mesprit quickly shook off its shock and focused on awakening its fellow Guardians.
"Team Galactic, surrender!"
"Your plans have failed!"
Cynthia stood firm before the only person still untouched by the disruption—Cyrus.
"So what if they have?"
Calmly, Cyrus raised his gloved hand. The embedded Red Gem pulsed with an eerie glow.
The next moment, Dialga and Palkia emerged, their bodies bound by glowing red rings.
As the Red Chains tightened, the deities of time and space roared—trapped, their wills no longer their own.
"Haha! What can you do now?"
Mars sneered, her eyes burning with eagerness.
"It's over. The new world… will be born!"
Cyrus spread his arms wide.
"Dialga, master of time! Palkia, ruler of space! Unleash your full power and create a new universe!"
The moment he spoke, the legendary Pokémon released a colossal surge of energy.
The very fabric of space trembled.
A swirling vortex appeared—a gateway to an unknown dimension.
As the energy intensified, an overwhelming dread filled the air.
Even Cynthia, Lucas, and Barry felt a primal fear clawing at their hearts.
Yet, amidst the chaos, Paul remained still.
Staring at the emerging rift, he whispered:
"So this is the power of gods… interesting."
Cyrus laughed, his voice was triumphant.
"Oh, universe… The new world is being born!"
"And I am the one who will bring order to this chaos!"
Cyrus cried out, his voice filled with eagerness. His eyes burned with unshakable determination, and his heart swelling with an unprecedented sense of pride and excitement. In this moment, he felt as if he had ascended beyond mere mortality, as if he truly held the power to control everything.
"Everyone, destroy the rings controlling Dialga and Palkia!"
Just then, Cynthia snapped out of her shock. Seeing the divine dragons prepare to unleash their terrifying power, she wasted no time in shouting the urgent command.
