Tsunade and the two Hokage advisors looked at Yoruha with puzzled expressions. "Orochimaru has resurrected the four Hokage with the Impure World Reincarnation?" Yoruha nodded. "Yes, I'm not sure what methods Orochimaru used, but this time, the four Hokage he resurrected have their full strength from when they were alive. Moreover, Orochimaru seems to have collaborated with the Akatsuki and used a sealing technique that even the First Hokage couldn't break."
"After the Impure World Reincarnation was undone, the Third Hokage told me the truth about the Uchiha clan massacre. After discussing it, we agreed on the final plan." Tsunade looked at Sasuke. She naturally agreed with the plan, as it minimized the losses. It was just a matter of whether Sasuke would agree.
The two Hokage advisors looked at Sasuke seriously. After all, they were involved in the matter. Yoruha's plan essentially absolved everyone else, leaving Danzo to take the blame. Although it was indeed Danzo who gave Itachi Uchiha the orders, they had previously targeted the Uchiha clan and even issued the extermination order, which the Third Hokage had stopped, but they had still been involved.
Sasuke, who had been silent, raised his head and said seriously, "I agree with Yoruha's plan. I want to restore the Uchiha clan's honor, and this matter was indeed Danzo's doing." Sasuke had accepted the plan. He didn't want to escalate the situation further, and despite his grievances with the Third Hokage and the two advisors, they hadn't actually taken action, and ultimately, it was Danzo who acted alone in ordering Itachi Uchiha.
The most they could be blamed for was their lack of oversight and the lenient handling of Danzo afterward. After the Uchiha clan massacre, the Third Hokage did deal with Danzo by disbanding his Root organization and removing him from his position as a Hokage advisor. However, Danzo had evidently reformed Root in secret, but the position of Hokage advisor was never restored to him by the Third Hokage.
So, although the Root members continued to refer to Danzo as a Hokage advisor, he technically wasn't one. The Third Hokage didn't bother to correct the Root members' address, nor was there a need to. Since Sasuke agreed with the plan, Tsunade nodded and said, "Sasuke, I won't let you or the Uchiha clan be wronged. I will ensure you get a satisfactory resolution."
Tsunade was also displeased with how the Konoha leadership handled the matter. It was far too extreme. Sasuke nodded, trusting Tsunade.
The two Hokage advisors secretly breathed a sigh of relief, as Sasuke wasn't targeting them. Later, Sasuke became the Sixth Hokage, which was considered compensation for him. Initially, when Tsunade and the two advisors suggested grooming Sasuke to be the Sixth Hokage, they were reluctant. After all, Yoruha was more outstanding, so why choose Sasuke?
Moreover, the incident from back then had always troubled them. Now that Sasuke had let it go, and he was capable enough, with the Uchiha clan gone, making him the Sixth Hokage was seen as compensation. The two advisors supported this decision.
Of course, if Tsunade insisted on making Sasuke the Sixth Hokage, the opinions of the two advisors wouldn't matter much. In Konoha, the Hokage ultimately makes the decisions. This was essentially a deal between Tsunade and Sasuke.
The Uchiha clan's dealings over the years have been complex. Of course, Sasuke's abilities are more than sufficient for the role of Hokage. His prestige, personal skills, and strength are all up to par.
At this moment, Yoruha spoke up, "During Pain's attack on the Leaf Village, it seems the Root ninjas were nowhere to be seen." Yoruha's words enlightened everyone, and they realized they hadn't noticed this before. Tsunade was furious, "Does Danzo really not care about the safety of the Leaf Village?"
Despite her distaste for Danzo, he was once her granduncle's subordinate, and she couldn't believe how despicable he had become. Even in the village's critical moment, he was still thinking about preserving his strength. Tsunade coldly declared, "With all his accumulated crimes, he's as good as dead."
With just one sentence, Tsunade had sentenced Danzo to death. Yoruha's intention was to prevent Sasuke from taking matters into his own hands to kill Danzo. No matter what, Danzo was a high-ranking official of the Leaf Village. If Sasuke acted without a trial and without the approval of others, it would be akin to betraying the village.
Sasuke understood this clearly now, which is why he agreed with Yoruha's plan. Yoruha's plan could restore the Uchiha clan's honor, justifiably deal with the mastermind behind the Uchiha massacre, and garner sympathy for the Uchiha clan, paving the way for Sasuke to become the Sixth Hokage. This was the best option at present. If he chose to act on his own, given the current power gap between Sasuke and Danzo, Danzo wouldn't last two moves before being defeated.
Danzo's Sharingan was of no use against the current Sasuke; he wouldn't even have time to activate Izanagi before being taken down. However, if Sasuke acted this way, he would essentially become a rogue ninja, and no one would care about the injustices faced by the Uchiha clan. Handling such matters is very complicated and cannot rely solely on force.
Sasuke might not care about public opinion, but the deceased members of the Uchiha clan do. If they were alive, they would surely hope Sasuke could clear their names. Most of the Uchiha clan members were unaware of their leaders' plans to stage a coup; they were simply living their lives as usual.
They were inexplicably slaughtered by their own kin. After resolving Sasuke's issues, Sakura walked over to him and embraced him. At that moment, Sasuke truly felt that the people who mattered most to him had always been by his side.
Seeing the two of them, Tsunade nodded. It was remarkable that Sasuke didn't blame the other villagers of the Leaf for the Uchiha clan's plight. Over the years, Yoruha and Tsunade had discussed that the Uchiha clan wasn't inherently extreme. Their eyes required emotional stimulation, but it didn't have to be negative.
Over the past three years, Sasuke had proven Yoruha's point with real-life examples. Tsunade no longer viewed the Uchiha clan as extreme. After becoming Hokage, she researched many of the Uchiha clan's contributions to the Leaf Village.
She discovered they weren't extreme at all; rather, the so-called extremism was something imposed on them by others. The Uchiha clan's arrogance led them to disdain explanations, deepening misunderstandings. But if one were to examine the Uchiha clan's contributions to the Leaf and their internal affairs, it would be clear they weren't extreme at all.
Saying they were a bit arrogant might be accurate, but not everyone was. Most Uchiha clan members lived their entire lives without awakening their Sharingan and couldn't afford to be arrogant. And those who did awaken it, how was their pride any different from that of ordinary ninjas who became stronger? Moreover, which clan's ninjas aren't proud?
It's normal for ninjas from clans with secret techniques or Kekkei Genkai to feel superior to ordinary people. Knowing this, Tsunade completely let go of her prejudice against the Uchiha clan. Over the past three years, she treated Sasuke like her own personal disciple.
