"Child, you are testing your luck!" Blood dripped down from Zesten's palms, falling to the ground. The ground where his blood fell began melting, akin to coming in contact with acid.
"If I hadn't tested my luck, I would not be here in the first place." Elias took a step closer, his eyes never shifting from Zesten's, even as only half a meter of distance remained between them, separated by a thin line.
"Then test that luck and step forward!" Zesten roared, his hand transforming into a dragon's claw that he swung at Elias.
Elias remained still, watching the claw come for him. It was only when the claw struck the barrier that it was pushed back. Zesten was forced to take a few steps back, while the young child remained unmoving, not even flinching.
Elias had already tested the limits of the barrier when Zesten was banging on it crazily, and he had complete faith in his own analysis. Zesten couldn't cross the boundary, even by an inch.
