Isadora stood before a large door, audibly gulping as she set her eyes upon it. Goosebumps found her skin as uneasiness discovered her body.
"Nervous?"
"Maybe?"
Logi chuckled at her reply. It was clear the girl was about to bolt if given the chance, yet she remained still.
"Fearless, little one," he said with a smirk. "I wonder how long you'd last though."
She had no idea what awaited and it only pumped Logi more as he thought of it. He was the only one who knew how Kraven's mind worked after all.
"What awaits me behind that door, Logi?" she asked with a shaky breath.
"I won't sugarcoat it."
"Then don't." She faced him with stern eyes, eager to know what she was getting herself into.
What Kraven planned this time. Whatever it was, it couldn't be good.
Logi shrugged. "Logically you're not meant to be welcomed to the ruling council, it's like throwing oil to the fire."
Isadora's breathing hitched as she looked away.
