Kain Locke
I searched around the room in a daze, my mind completely blank. I couldn't even remember what I was looking for. My heart was pounding too loudly, my head buzzing with the feel of his lips still lingering on everywhere they touched.
I had already searched almost everywhere while looking earlier. I knew that. But I kept looking anyway, fumbling through the same spots as if something new would magically appear but there was nothing.
Having no choice,
I turned toward him, about to ask where the aids and bandages were, but the moment my eyes landed on him, my heart slammed against my ribs, beating so hard it made my breath come short.
Nope this is totally a bad idea, so, not looking at him. Not right now.
That left only one place I hadn't checked.
I walked to the wardrobe, glancing up at the top. But it was just too tall that I had to jump. And of course, a first aid box was just up there, but it was pushed inside. Just my luck to be searching aimlessly since.
