Chapter 97 - The Krell Scout

Storm's battered body tensed, his mandibles clicking in irritation. "I lost because I underestimated them," he snapped. "You two are only winning because I burned through her resources. If I hadn't, you'd be struggling just like I was."

"Sure, sure." Earth's voice was thick with skepticism. "Whatever helps you sleep, Storm."

The disbelief was clear. Storm's injuries, his weakened state—Earth didn't buy the idea that one individual could have done that. Not alone.

When they arrived, Storm had no forces left.

Meanwhile, the enemy? Still have many standing. Earth didn't need to say it out loud. The battlefield spoke for itself.

The first volley of arrows rained down like a death sentence. But Earth didn't move.

BOOM!

The explosive talismans detonated mid-air, a fiery burst of destruction ripping toward him.

CRACK.

The ground rose. A wall of solid stone erupted around him, shielding him completely. Dust and debris rained down, but when the smoke cleared, Earth stood untouched.
