" Um,.. I'm sorry to ask. How long have I been out? " Asher asked, not comprehending what these two men were on about.
" Two days! " The young man said, cordially with respect. " My master should be on his way to see you now. "
Her face went blank, was the master this young man was talking about supposed to be her husband, finally it will be nice to see him so all this confusion would be resolved.
Minutes slowly ticked away, not able to sit quietly, Asher said, " Mr Mock- - "
" Call me Mock my dear! " The man corrected with a smile.
" Okay,.. Mock I was on my way to see- - "
" Oh look, your husband is here! " Mock said, as a gentleman stepped into the room.
Asher was instantly blown away by him, a perfect definition of an aristocratic man with all round goodness exuding from him. But why is he holding a stick, she felt dumb seeing him with a stick.
" Secretary Mock. " The man gave a half nod towards the mid aged man in the room. One hand in his pocket and his eyes fixed on Mr Mock, both men sharing a silent and inaudible conversation using their eyes.
" Alright, seems like I should take my leave now. Young man, why don't you walk me outside! " Mock said, snickering as though he knew what the young master wanted. Together he left the room accompanied by the young man, who was pulled along leaving Asher alone and her supposed husband.
Now the the room was calm, the man kept his gaze on the pitifully paled faced woman. He began by taking a step forward, hitting the steel cane on his hand on the hard floor causing Asher's heart to skip a beat, sinking into her stomach just watching the man.
" Ahem! " He cleared his throat, standing a meter from her bedside and observing the frightened woman.
" Um,.. Mister, I- - "
" Mrs Mason. " The man's deep voice cuts her off refraining Asher from uttering another word, she calmly stares at the imposing tall stocky figure of the man. " You have thirty minutes to get ready! " He said in a low matter of fact tone, clearly not giving her a say in the matter. Asher swallowed the lump in her throat, watching the dominant and terrifying man who ordered her as though she was he's subordinate.
A couple of minutes later, a young woman was escorted towards a black Royce roll car, a limited edition model both spotless and very eye catch in the hospital's garage. The young man from earlier got out of the car and opened the door for the young woman. Right now Asher didn't know what she was doing anymore, clearly following the strange man's order as though he was some kind of a god. She was dressed very luxurious-looking, in a long soft pink handkerchief dress and a fur designer's cape draped over her shoulder.
Asher's nice looking attire shone through the car's tint window, a sudden transformation from her previous disheveled look. Standing outside the door already opened and awaiting her to step inside.
" Miss! " The young man called out to her, seeing the lost look in her face. Asher wanted to back away, deep down she knew this wasn't her life so why was she putting up with all of this. With that thought in her mind she decided to take a step backward, her gaze fixed on the car caught the man's attention. Already seated inside the car awaiting her accompaniment.
Her eyes met his, at that moment she became pinned to the ground. The terrifying look in the man's eyes took all acts of rebellion in her heart, unable to move an inch.
" Mrs Mason. " His cold voice and the title he used in addressing her rang in Asher's ear, closing her eyes and releasing a breath she didn't know was hanging in her lungs. Asher took a step forward, getting into the Royce roll car along with the terrifying man.
The scene from the garage was been watched from a sports car parked a meter from them, observing all of Asher's moves.
" Yes I've got news, you won't believe it! " A man seated in the car said over the phone, looking at the video footage he had obtained of her.
Away from the hospital, the black Royce roll car pulled over at a very extravagant mansion. The tall black architectural building, with a single sculpture of a jaguar in the compound both black as the marble walls of the house and an exquisite taste for luxury. Stepping into the compound only, Asher felt a fuzzy feeling. Standing before such a remarkable structure, she had to hold her jaws from falling off. On the other hand, the man who stepped out of the car seemed unfazed by it, walking ahead with his stick in one hand.
He walked silently towards the door, just a couple of steps away from stepping into the mansion. Halted and looked over his shoulder, " coming? " He shot her a glance, lasting only for seconds before looking ahead and taking a step forward. Asher quietly watched him, gripping her dress with white knuckles. Her narrowed eyes were on the door, still not understanding why this man would go through all this to get her here.
At the door of the mansion, a posh looking black suited man with etiquette manner stood at the door. " Mr Mason. " He greeted the man, already waiting for his presence.
" The old master is in his study room, long awaiting your presence. " He said, looking behind towards the motionless young lady standing afar. Looking at the man and taking his gaze back to the woman, with the presence of a drizzle about to pour.
" I will meet him in his study room. " Mr Mason said with an air of nonchalance in his eyes, his cold words showed how little his interest was coming here.
" Miss. Won't you come inside, the rain is about to fall! " The butler looking man said, very audible that Asher could hear him.
The cloud soon covered the sun, releasing a little drizzle of rain and drenching the ground taking over the sunny sky. Asher was ushered into the rich styled living room by the butler of the mansion, the warm service she was receiving pushed the curiosity in her eyes further. Has this man abducted her into his own world, and without even asking her permission. Sitting alone in the spacious living room, where there was no sign of the man who brought her here or any living being. She twisted repeatedly in her seat, fidgeting with her palms and continuously looking at the deserted corridor in the mansion.
Asher was petrified, even the grandeur of the house couldn't ease her worriedly tensed-nervous.
" Mrs Mason. Please come with me! " The butler came back to her, his tone was gentle and an eye of condolences he directed at her. Now ushering her out of the living room.
