They exchanged glances as Nova looked around and Levan investigated the area to see if anything was off or if they had missed anything, for they could not afford to mess up anything, especially Nova or everything could backfire against him and that was not a good thing.
Nova approached its body and his eyes narrowed as he crouched down beside Dravon. "It was ancient, this creature, that much we do know by now. And strong. But more than that—it was resisting something while it was fighting us. Did you see how it reacted to our attacks? Almost as if it wasn't fully in control of itself."
Zara frowned as she looked at him. "You think it was being controlled by someone?"
"Possibly," Nova admitted. "Or it was transformed. Either way, I do not think this was a random encounter. I know we planned this mission to carry out what we wanted, but it showing up precisely, with us not having to do much work, something feels a bit off, does it not?"
