I had been watching my mate through the space in the ceiling for a long time. I haven't gone to meet her because the instant I located the room she was in, I saw that she was quite busy.
Nolan had been pestering me ever since to meet her, but I knew well that she was busy.
There was a large dead hybrid creature beside her.
At first, I thought that she was weird for having such a menacing creature stay next to her. That was until I realized that she was using its blood and some other parts of its body to create a cure for the humans' president's daughter.
What was even more shocking was the fact that she had not been able to sense my presence since I got close to her.
I know that I have currently concealed my scent. But, previously, she was able to sense my presence even after I had concealed my scent. Except for the last time I appeared in front of her and didn't conceal my scent.
But why wasn't it working today?
