The two sides formed.
Alen vs. Yute.
Franchesca Von Themys and Kaida Thican vs. Gissy.
"Hoo? You truly want to go against me alone, rat?" He taunted the brown haired boy with his axe, and evil grin forming on his face.
"Honestly, yeah. You're definitely weaker than her" Alen pointed his thumb to the direction where his teammates are fighting the stronger foe.
"You just throw your girlfriends to fight what you can't win?" He let out a loud chuckle as he started approaching the boy.
"They're not my girlfriends..." a slight blush formed on his cheeks as quickly as it dissapeared "But they are stronger than me" he started to also approach the boss.
"Besides, you ordered your girlfriend to fight us, is that so much different than what I did?" With a spin of his daggers on his thumbs, the boy let out a cocky attitude. "At least with me it was because of an agreement"
"What I do with her is of no importance to you" his harsh and low voice, trying to intimidate the rat that mocked him.
Once Yute had Alen on his effective range, he swung his axe down.
Alen dodged it with a sidestep.
Quickly stomping his foot on the axe, Alen launched himself at Yute's chest.
But the boss closed the distance between them before Alen's plunge gained enough speed to make his attack lethal.
With a strong headbutt he caused Alen to fly back.
He stuck the landing and quickly began to run around the boss.
He shouldn't have any weird trick up his sleeve, this should be an easy fight.
On the oter front, Kaida had proposed that Fran should just focus on the attack while she focuses on quickly reacting to what she does.
While the villainess hated being ordered by a sinner, she had to admit that the shy girl knew how to follow up on any attack she started.
If she attacked qith her spear, leaving a weak point on her right, a weak point that was going to be attacked by their opponent, Kaida already protected that spot.
If a horizontal slash was the attavk lainched at them, Kaida was already on an advantageous position.
"C'mon sinner, move faster!" Despite Fran's harsh tone, she appreciated the willingness of the disgraced noble to follow her orders.
"I-I can't go faster!"
"Don't care, just do it!" Fran knew that if instead of that sinner, if it was Alen fighting alongside her, she wouldn't be so harsh on her words.
"Uuuuh" Kaida just let out a small complaining noise as she tried moving faster, but failing on her attempt.
Then, an attack landed on Gissy's left arm.
Fran's spear made a big vertical cut on the length of the warrior woman's arm.
"Khh" a piercing attack almost landed on her sides if it weren't for the fact that she managed to avoid it by jumping back.
"I missed!" Kaida stopped herself before craahing into Fran's spear.
Fran only let out a loud groan to make sure that the sinner knew how irritated she is.
"Why..? Why did you have to come in between us..." Gissy looked to the ground for a second before liftimg her head up "I... we could've been so happy..."
"Happy!? You!? You and your bunch don't deserve happiness" the villainess began preparing her next move.
"Why not..? After all we've gone through... we also dese-"
"No you don't!" Fran pointed her finger at Gissy "You harmed my friend, that is enough of a reason for you to not deserve any pity from me"
"They also robbed old ladies, kids and a bunch of other people" Kaida added in a whisper.
"And who cares about them, it's their fault for getting robbed" the princess added with a quick brush of her hair to the side.
"And you tell me that we don't deserve happiness?"
"Yes! While I might say the truth about those you robbed, I haven't damaged anyone else unlike your group"
But you're mean to me... Kaida shook her head as this was not the moment to think about that.
"Besides, a worm that follows someone without thinking for themselves like you deserve even less"
"Wha-"
"You follow what that guy says without standing up for yourself. Why should I care what the trash of trash thinks?"
"D-do-"
"Don't say a single word sinner" Fran interrupted a confused Kaida.
"Why are you saying that to me when you two follow what that two timing guy says?" She pointed at a fighting Alen that managed to make a cut on Yute's thigh.
"T-two timing!!?? You keep your mouth shut! He isn't two timing! And we don't follow his orders!"
"Y-yea, he isn't dating any of us!!"
Both girls blushed as they yelled at Gissy for even suggesting that.
"My point still stands. You both feel something for him" she gripped her sword with more strength "And once you feel like that... once you've gone through enough things with that person... you'll understand why I'm doing this" she sounded tired.
Alen's previous words resonate on her head.
She knew that Yute isn't like this... founding a guild that terrorizes innocent people... we ended up doing the thing that caused us to run away from our previous group.
She believed in him, after all, she ran away from her abusive house with him... he saved her...
But now that he is on a dark place she can't help him.
She looked to the side, Yute's axe flew through the air along with his right hand.
Alen's attack perfectly sliced Yute on his wrist.
"Nngh" a painful groan left Yute's voice as he gripped his bleeding arm on it's wrist.
"Haa... you're really a pain..." Alen took long breaths while trying to xalm himself.
But I guess it's to be expected from a boss, even if you're a tutorial boss.
"You truly fucked up rat! We'll never fall! We'll get back on our feet, and chase you and that prostitute of a mother you have!"
"Maybe you're right... maybe my original mom was a sex worker... but I've forgotten all about that woman..." his voice became softer as he finally calmed himself "However, right now my mom is someone else" flashes of the time he spent with [Crescent Moon] came to his mind, all that training woth Karla.
"You caused this to yourself" Alen prepared himself to slice his neck, killing him and ending this part of the story.

Instead of meeting the boss' neck, the blade found Gissy's right arm as she shielded her beloved.
"Wh-what are you doing!?" Yute roughly shoved Gissy away "You had to kill those other rats!"
"I don't care about them" she said in a low tone as she got on her knees "You were gonna get hurt, and I don't want that"
"Who cares what you want! Because of doing that you're like that" he didn't move an inch from where he was.
"Because of what I did... you're alive" she walked next to the boss she loved "And I don't want to lose you" she hugged her childhood friend and began crying on his chest.
"Please, just stop... I don't want to see you get hurt" she sakd between low sobs "I don't want this... We ran away from [Seven Fangs] because we hated what they made us do... you hated it..."
"I-I..." Yute struggled to find the correct words to say at this moment. He despised what he did on that group, but being atuck at the very bottom, with nothing to their name, made him act on ways he despised to even afford food.
That's what he wanted to say. But he didn't have the guts to admit he was wrong.
"I see this group has been dealt with" a female voice interrupted the two last members of [The Crossed]
"And by Aurum kid's no less" a young, high pitched male voice added.
A whole group of knights surrounded those last two members with their spears.
"Name, class and rank of all three of you, now!"
"K-K-Kaida Thican, class E rank 9"
"Franchesca Von Themys, class S rank 2"
"Alen, class S rank 11"
These two characters that came accompanied by knights, they are...
"Guys!" Yani entered running and the first thing she did was hug Kaida
"After we finished with all the other bandits we went to call for them" Cole walked in right after Yani "Thank god you guus are fine"
We are not fine, those guys are...
The golden troupe. Knights that defend Aurum academy.
And she is Lila Varsem, the captain of those knights. She is a corrupt leader and a prominent enemy in the mid-game.
Her arrival isn't saving us, she'll take those two and claim that they stopped this group.
"Hoo? Interesting eyes you got there kiddo" the captain that was wearing a white hat got approached me "Do you have something to tell me?"
"Thanks for coming to clean up after us" this is a moment where I have to assert myself. The boy let out a cocky smile form on his lips.
"Uuh, that's interesting" the young man that accompanied Lila hid his mouth behind his hands, surprised that a mere kid would ztand up against his boss.
The black haired leader of the golden troupe pointed her blade at Alen's throat.
