A mechanical sound came from the old tower. It was like the old tower's machine were making some kind of noise, a low rhythmic note. The sound seemed to vibrate through the deep forest nearby.

Lee's unease grew, but he could not afford to be much more optimistic!
He glanced far at the old tower, spotted some radio frequency nearby. Just like he had a sense of some unknown frequency his ear was picking which can not be detected to a normal being.
Ignoring the pain of his injured arm, Lee looked at Ruan Thiaun .
"We better check the old tower. I think there are something hidden there."
Ruan nodded her head and jabbed the dagger in her hand.
"What are we waiting for then?"
Summoning the last of his strength, Lee charged forward right behind Ruan Thiaun. Breathing heavily he has yet to give any of his weakness pour over.
The spiritual energy came from Ruan Thiaun it was increasing enough for Lee to continue despite his injury. He could not ignore the fact that Ruan Thiaun was also wounded.
Lee's steps was slow but steady as he made his way to the old tower following footsteps of Ruan Thiaun, hope rekindled amidst the cold reality.
The heavy metal door of the old tower groaned open as Ruan Thiaun pulled the makeshift sled inside. The noise echoed through the dark, old room. The smell of old dust and metal was strong in the air, which was made worse by smell of rotten animals.
"What the hell? So many corpses of dead animals?"- Ruan murmured as her feet crushed a skull of a small dead animal.
"Many of these beast were killed here, but how? What made these things kill?"- Lee whispered.
"I think this things are genetically modified, but during mutation process it has not yet to stop the mutation process, so soon or later it will die."- Cynthia replied.
"Well that means, the Xin-Xuan Company has not yet figured out to keep their precious beast last in the environment yet!"- Lee breathed a sight of relief.
Lee must admit that he was not prepared to face this beast now. All he needed proper medication and some recovery!
Meanwhile Ruan Thiaun was not coping the things well. She had to work hard to breath, the rotten smell was unbearable. Even Lee was having trouble with breathing, his muscle hurt from the strain, but he kept following Ruan Thiuan.
Ruan Thiuan moved with much urgency, she knew that time was not on their side. Ruan quickly moved her fingers over the control panel to link up the settings with Cynthia. Using various conduits and wires, she attached the control panel's network with the auto-bot so that Cynthia can have full access.
Lee rested for a bit while he drank the water from the pot. He is losing blood and he really needed some immediate medical support. He remembered the nursing he got from Amina. He took a piece of handkerchief from the bag and tied it to the wounded area.
The wind howled through the cracks in the old tower walls, some scary symphony was coming from the tower that Lee could feel in her head.
"Ok, Cynthia I have connected you with the control panel can you dig in to this?"
Ruan looked at Lee, waiting for Cynthia's response.
"Yes, Ruan, you have done it! I am inside the hub. I have the access."
"Are there sign of any activity going on in the old tower?"- Ruan asked Cynthia.
"Ruan, I am trying to decode the signal but it is something different. Probably some signal making strange soundwave. I am working on it."- Cynthia replied.
"At last some good news perhaps!"- Ruan Thiaun had a little smile of hope in her face.
Meanwhile Cynthia, traced the signal notes as she entered through the control panel. She was looking at the data, decoding the signal waves as quickly she can. She was picking up some interesting wave length. It was making some kind of noise. About the noise something was interesting. This noise was triggering the beast to react. The tower also acts as a radar. It picks up any foreign intruder than the electro-magnetic pulse creates a wavelength to call this beast.
The electromagnetic pulse kind a control these beast to attack. And the elector magnetic pulse was getting high this time!
Cynthia realized the danger Lee and Ruan was leading into. Her mind blanked for a moment. The she made a response, her voice was shaky.
"Hurry up, guy...You both better get of out from there…"
"What happened Cynthia?"
"I have monitored these noises these are not Randoms, they are creating some kind of elector magnetic pulse. I think these are the like they are communicating with the beast. And it getting even worse. Looks like they are calling for more of these beast. So, it will be safe to get out from there as quickly as you can."
Ruan Thiaun's smile warned. Then she sharply turned back to Lee. She screamed at Lee.
"More beast are coming? We are not prepared for that!"
Killing them is harder than they anticipated. While Lee and Ruan both are injured, it will be harder for them to survive. They must hurry and get out of the place as soon as possible.
"Lee, We need to get out of here as fast as we can."-Ruan asked Lee to move on as she glanced around, noticing movements in the deep bushes.
Lee got up and said, "Oh no, this is not good. Let's leave the place."

Theo Lee and Ruan Thiaun were trapped in a deep forest, set up with multiple beast like protypes created by the Xin Xuan Company as a defense to stop any intruders entering into their dens. In the deep, dark forest where sunlight barely penetrates the canopy, casting long, eerie shadows it seemed nearly impossible for them to enter in the den. This was the right time for them to retreat. Twisted branches and tangled roots create a maze-like path, making it difficult to navigate.
