Maureen had her full of laughter, and wisely decided not to push further; she didn't want to make Liam so embarrassed that it might aggravate his injury.
After all, he was still nursing an injured leg; it wasn't a matter of being taken lightly.
Maureen returned to her chair, and smoothed out the messy blanket that had been pulled around by Liam.
With stern seriousness, she tucked it in around both sides of his body.
"Alright, let's eat something.
What do you fancy? I'll go buy it," she said.
"It's still snowing outside. Why would you go?
With your petite arms and legs, carrying back the meal might result in it all spilling everywhere.
How about takeout?" Liam was still unwilling to let go of Maureen's hand.
"Or we could ask Mr. Boris to fetch it."
While holding her hand, his other hand reached out to grab his cellphone placed on the bedside table, and began to look up Mr. Boris's contact number.
"What would you like to eat?" Maureen listed a few dishes.
