They barely managed to stay up till half-past eleven.
Liam noticed Maureen yawn quietly behind his back.
Maureen was also mindful about Liam's insomnia issue.
"Maybe we should go to bed early, you still have school tomorrow morning," Liam spoke out again.
Though Maureen tried hard to resist sleepiness, the drowsiness kept washing over her.
She felt a bit down, not wanting to part.
She looked up at Liam, after a moment of consideration, she conceded, "
Alright, let's sleep early."
Turning off the tablet, the two reluctantly retreated to their respective rooms.
Something occurred to Maureen, she said to Liam,
"I bought you some stuff before I came up, it's by your bed."
"What?" Liam lifted the corners of his lips, unable to suppress the smug expression that spread across his face.
"Still shopping? Is it the fifth anniversary?"
He wheeled his wheelchair to the side of the bed.
Upon seeing what was on the head of the bed, he was taken aback.
