Penny entered Elena's room to check up on her, she sees her lying on the bed and she walked up to where she was.
"You're seriously burning up Elena, I think we should go see a doctor 'cause you're getting worse" Penny said taking a sit beside her. " I will be fine, I'm just sick of this place. Everywhere I go people speak Chinese my ear is so f****** tired of being them speak". "you will get used to it besides, take grandma Nate for example she has been so nice to us ever since we got here". Penny said. "Maybe too nice, I don't trust her". Elena replied shifting her gaze to the windows. "Well, I do" Penny said with a smile. "Don't you miss home? I mean Jonal" Elena asked. "We are not having this talk Elena, I've said it several times" Penny said suddenly getting up. "Do you imagine how he feels right now"? Elena asked. "If he wants me, he'll find me" Penny responded. "And you had to go as far as China! Penny who the f*** would imagine you could be here? of all places, you couldn't go to f****** Paris, Ireland, Switzerland but here"!! "we know nobody, we're like in the middle of the ocean "Elena added.
"Don't make me feel like the victim here Elena, I just did what i felt was right" Penny replied. "Well, it's wrong sorry to say, it's like I've got no life. I'm like a shadow of myself ". Elena said with sadness in her voice as she turned away from Penny and faced the wall.
Just then the doorbell rang, and Penny gently closed Elena's room door and left. she went to the living room and opened the door.
"Hi Nate" She called surprised. "Hi, my grandmother asked me to give you this" he said stretching out the pies in his hands to her. "Thanks" Penny said and collected the pies. "um. sorry, is your sister in"? He asked nervously. "She's my friend Nate, and yes she's in" Penny said. "Can you say hi to her for me, I've been trying to talk to her but she's not giving me any audience" Nate said. "Oh, sorry about that. she's not feeling too well that's why she's not in the mood for any conversation". "Oh my goodness, is she alright now? don't worry I'll bring some soup that will make her feel better, you'll see Àiliánnà will be better soon" He said dashing off quickly. Penny shrugged and took the pies instead closing the door, she went Elena's room and dropped it on the table.
"The pies are here, by the way, Nate brought them" Penny said. "That crazy dude,what does he want now"! "Anyway, I told him you were sick and indisposed so he offered to bring you a soup that will help". Penny said. "Well, tell him no, I don't need another crazy dude bothering me". Elena replied. "He's just being nice Elena" Penny told her. "Exactly my point, i don't like it I don't want it". Elena replied. "You're just stressed you need to calm down and relax" Penny said and walked out.
### I brought the soup, where is she"? Nate asked entering the house leaving Penny at he door. "She's sleeping, don't worry when she wakes up I'll heat it up for her" Penny lied. "No, she has to take it now" he insisted. just then Elena waked out of her room, she saw him and wanted to go back but he had already seen her.
"There she is. Àiliánnà, Penny told me you were sick so i brought some soup" He said with a smile. "You'll be feeling better in no time". "Tell the motherfucker my freaking name is Elena, he shouldn't call me Alien or whatever he's saying" Elena said amist gritted teeth clearly paranoid as she left.
Nate looked confused he understood English but not that much. "Penny, is she okay"? Nate asked seeing her change of expression. "She's stressed Nate, maybe you can come back later, she needs to rest" Penny said. "I understand, I'll leave now but please make sure she takes the soup" He said and left.
"What was that all about"? Penny asked entering the kitchen. "Don't start" Elena replied leaving the kitchen.
