Argh...
Slowly his eyes pryed open as his head throbbed. He stayed still for a moment before checking his environment. Like a tidal wave everything came rushing back and he bit back a groan. Haruki, he needed to know how his brother was.
He tried moving, but that was when he noticed it. The large metal silver cuffs on his wrists and ankles. He hadn't noticed when he woke up but now he could feel his skin eating away. The tears had started falling before he even noticed them. He just wanted to go home, back to Asahi's arms.
The door creaked open and Aries made her way in.
" Tsk, tsk, tsk. If it isn't my high and mighty son," she sneered and Hinata just looked at her with disgust.
" What the fuck do you want, why the hell am I like this, what the hell have you done to me , where's my brother?" He yelled, demanding answers but Aries just laughed maniacally.
" Your brother, oh Haruki, he should be awake very soon. You see," she paused her eyes glinting with malicious intents, "He was drugged, more than you. You are the most important thing we, no I , need."
" Why....just why?" Hinata whimpered, trying hard but failing to keep his composure.
" There, there, we wouldn't want our lab rat to be exhausted before carrying out his use, now, would we?" Elinar, the director, said as he strode in and Aries just rolled her eyes, looking at Hinata with disgust.
Elinar called his men, and within seconds Hinata was being dragged to the research lab. He knew better than to protest so he just allowed them to take him. Upon getting there the sight he saw made him drop on his knees. There he was, Haruki, still unconscious. But that was not what scared Hinata. It was the position he saw his brother.
Haruki and been strapped in a cursed equipment. One button, and the sharp pointy nail will make its way to Haruki's throat.
" Oh that, don't worry it won't need to be turned on if you cooperate, but if not tsk tsk tsk, it will grill it's way onto your brother's throat very very slowly. And of course he will be conscious of that happens," Aries informed, laughing.
Hinata felt all the colour from his face drained.
" I'll do it, anything you want I'll do it," he said above a whisper. "J...just...just pl.. please d..do..don't harm m..m..my brother," he said stuttering with fear.
Elinar laughed loudly, clearly enjoying the show, " Now that wasn't so hard, was it?"
With a signal, Hinata was placed on the lab bed and was strapped tightly with extension straps. His mind was solely on his brother that he didn't feel anything till the sharp pain from being stung from different sides of his body hit him. This was no ordinary needle. The pain was excruciating and he screamed, thrashed and cried loudly. His tails flinging everywhere till it was tied too.
Haruki woke with a jolt. The horrifying scene played in his front like a horror movie. He didn't want to believe that it was his younger brother on that chair. But when he tried to move he felt something sharp pierce his neck slightly and he winced at the effect.
" Looks like sleeping beauty is awake," he heard a familiar voice say, and when he saw the owner of the voice, like puzzle finding all its pieces, everything clicked. Her hatred, the bloodthirst he would sometimes notice in her eyes when she looked at them , especially Hinata, but he had always brushed it away as her being annoyed at Hina.
" M...mother, what's going on. Please stop, please stop, PLEASE STOP!!!" He shouted, crying profusely.
Hinata's cries still came, one could hear the plea, desperation and pain in them.
After what felt like ages, Elinar raised his hand, and the blood transfusion stopped. He had collected three gallons of blood.
" This should be enough for today. Patch him up, we'll continue tomorrow. Oh and please make sure to feed him. We don't want his blood drying up because of malnutrition now, do we?" He said smirking and he left.
Haruki was still having a hard time believing what just happened, he blamed himself for being useless.
" You can remove him now, fix him back by tomorrow," Aries said, gesturing to Haruki as she headed out to the same direction as Elinar.
As soon as he was released, Haruki rushed to Hinata's side, stumbling a couple of times before successfully making it to his side.
" No, no God please no," He whimpered as he gathered Hinata into his arms. The body in his arms was almost lifeless. His pale body was starting to turn blue. The spots where the needles were had turned an ugly shade of purple.
" Brother," Hinata called weakly, but couldn't say another word as he lost consciousness.
" I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry Hina. I couldn't protect you," Haruki said speaking to no one in particular. He missed Takahara, his lover's warmth and.... No he said, snapping out of it. Now's not the time. Their objective now is survival. Escape is a no-go area.
After few hours, Hinata opened his eyes slowly. He could feel his head resting against something soft, warm and a steady breathing. Without needing to look up, he knew who it was. He snuggled closer and despite their predicament, Haruki couldn't help but let out a soft chuckle at his brother and his waking up clinginess.
Just as quickly, their joyvwas shattered. A lady, one of Aries and Elinar's minions, came to meet them. She dropped a bowl of watery soup and four stale bread for them to eat. After that she left, but not before scowling at them.
Hinata out of fear hadn't lifted his head from Haruki's chest when she made her way in. Haruki found something unusual, but the rumble from Hina's stomach made the thought disappear just as quickly.
They are the food quietly, Haruki ate one bread and drank little soup, leaving the rest to Hinata as he would need more energy than him.
The food was not perfect and since they only had little portions of food before, luckily this was enough to last them the day.
