Chapter 128 - Colt, Come Out for a Moment

At the registration desk, Moro finished filling out the application form and immediately returned to his room to resume his daily Nen training.

Shortly after, he received his match schedule.

As expected, he secured his fourth victory without much difficulty.

With his superior aura output, he dominated battles just as he had when he first arrived at Heavens Arena two months ago. He used his high margin of error to refine his techniques in real combat.

However, after claiming his fifth victory, he encountered another delay—no one else registered for a fight after him.

With no opponent available, he was left waiting for three days.

Finally, after three days of inactivity, another fighter signed up for a match.

However, this competitor scheduled the match one week later, on November 9th.

Realizing he had time to spare, Moro booked a ticket to Kukuroo Mountain.

After researching the exact travel duration, he confirmed that a round trip would only take about four to five days.

Before departing, Moro visited Menchi to retrieve his Ruby Avian Knife.

"When are you coming back?"

Menchi's eyes were practically glued to the Ruby Avian Knife on Moro's waist.

She had been using it for food preparation for the past few weeks, and it had become her favorite tool.

"Around five days."

Moro sighed. "Menchi, since I walked in, it's only been a few minutes, but you've already asked me this six times."

"Really? That many?"

Menchi barely paid attention to his response, still fixated on the knife.

Shaking his head, Moro simply turned around and left.

Two days later, Moro arrived alone at Kukuroo Mountain.

On both sides of the road, dense forests stretched endlessly, and at the end of the path stood the towering Trial Gate—the massive entrance to the Zoldyck family estate.

To the right of the Trial Gate, there was a much smaller double-door entrance.

This door had been built specifically for intruders—designed to prevent damage to the Trial Gate from those attempting to break through by force.

Before the smaller entrance, there was a small security booth. Inside, an ordinary-looking old man sat leisurely.

This was Zebro, a long-time employee of the Zoldyck family.

He had worked here for 17 years, officially as a guard, but his actual responsibility was disposing of bodies.

Despite this, Zebro was still a Nen user—a testament to the Zoldyck family's deep foundation, where even servants and guards were trained in Nen.

The Zoldycks had strict rules and rigorous training for their staff.

Even though Zebro was getting old, he still exercised regularly to maintain his physique.

Additionally, all his household items—from cups to slippers—were modified with heavy weights to maintain his physical strength without additional training.

Inside the security booth, Zebro calmly sipped his tea.

Today was unusually quiet—no tourists and no reckless intruders.

It was a rare moment of peace.

However, his eyes soon caught sight of a young man approaching the gate.

"Alone?"

Zebro slowly placed his tea down, peering at the approaching stranger through the window.

"He doesn't look like a tourist… and he's not giving off the usual hostile energy of an intruder."

His eyes skimmed over Moro's attire—noticing no backpacks or travel gear typical of visitors, nor the aggressive stance that would suggest an attack.

However, Moro's sword caught his attention for a moment.

Finally, Zebro focused his gaze on the young man's head.

Observing the natural flow of his aura, Zebro's eyes narrowed slightly.

As Moro drew closer, Zebro's gaze remained fixed on him, watching silently as the young man walked directly to the center of the Trial Gate.

"Heh…"

Seeing Moro's actions, Zebro chuckled knowingly.

"This must be another curious youngster drawn here by stories."

He lit a cigarette and continued observing.

Standing before the massive stone doors, Moro took a deep breath and began focusing.

Then, he deliberately shut off his aura nodes, fully entering the state of Zetsu.

From the security booth, Zebro immediately sensed the change.

His eyes widened slightly.

"Wait… did his aura just vanish?"

Without using Nen, Moro placed both hands against the Trial Gate's cold stone surface.

He realized that ever since he had learned Nen, he had always relied on it for physical enhancement.

Even his advanced footwork techniques required him to reinforce his muscles with Nen to execute properly.

Now, standing in Zetsu, he felt strangely weak, as if an entire source of power had been stripped away.

He shook off the discomfort and channeled all his raw physical strength into pushing the gate.

Rumble…

The Trial Gate began to shift.

First, a thin gap opened between the stone doors, then slowly expanded further.

However, the heavy-duty hinges and springs of the gate pushed back, applying a counterforce that prevented the door from staying open.

With a loud BOOM, the stone doors slammed shut again.

Stepping back, Moro studied the results.

"I actually managed to push it halfway open?"

That wasn't what he expected.

He had never trained his raw physical strength, meaning he assumed he would barely move the gate at all.

But to his surprise, he had opened it by half.

"It must be the effect of the medicinal meals…"

For the past few weeks, Menchi's specialized cooking had drastically boosted his stamina and muscle growth.

Since he was always wrapped in his aura, he had never realized how much stronger his physical body had become.

This led him to another thought.

"If I combine medicinal meals with the Zoldyck family's training methods… maybe I can drastically enhance my body in a short time."

If he developed his raw strength, he wouldn't need to waste Nen reinforcing his muscles as often in battle.

"I'll come back and test again in half a month."

The Trial Gate would serve as a benchmark for his progress—helping him determine when he could move to the next phase of his training.

From the security booth, Zebro frowned slightly.

"What's this kid's goal?"

Standing up, he walked closer to the gate, watching as Moro pulled out his phone.

Holding the phone to his ear, Moro calmly spoke.

"Colt, if you're free, come out for a moment. I'm at your front door."

Hearing this, Zebro's expression changed.

He stared at Moro in disbelief.

"Wait… this kid knows Colt?!"
