"I'm on my way! What's the status?"
Trace received an urgent call and at the same time an alarming news upon answering the person behind the number.
"Sir, the boss had prematurely exited the Hex, it seems to be an S-rank!"
He suddenly panicked knowing that this is one of those unexpected instances, an S-rank Hex!
"How are the elites doing?"
The Sarimbal Master asked the hunter on the phone, persistent in knowing the status of his Pillars.
"I'm not sure sir! I went meters away from the battle ground to call you but it seems like the hell has loosed there!"
Trace do not want to prolong the call so he immediately turned it off and proceeded to use one of his skills.
"Metamorphosis-- Cheetah Variation! Leap!"
His aura then took the form of a giant cheetah, which gave him an impeccable boost in speed.
"Whoosh!"
So fast did he leaped that in each thing that he ran into is instantly destroyed like a hurricane devouring everything in its path.
'This could be a Black Hex!'
As he starts to closed-in on the location, he noticed that a Black Cloud, generating gargantuan red thunder began to transpire. In fact, one of them almost hit him, so much so that he needed to alter his direction by a meter just to avoid it.
When he looked up in the sky, he saw someone or something sitting on an ancient-looking throne while holding a shadowy looking staff made out of something outside of this world.
The being in question is a female-looking warrior with broken wings on her back and a giant horn springing out of her head. Her eyes are red while its teeth are gnashing and salivating, as if she is thirsty for a new blood.
She then screamed like a monster, summoning thousands of winged monsters who are worse-looking than her and seems to be ominously mind-controlled by her magic.
"Raaaahh!"
From her scream, produced another wave of red thunder strikes who almost struck him point blank.
"Who are you?"
Trace asked the monster before effortlessly hurling a towering boulder towards her using only an arm.
"ᜁᜆᜓ'ᜌ᜔ ᜑᜒᜈ᜔ᜇᜒ ᜈ ᜋᜑᜎᜄ ᜐᜉᜄ᜔ᜃᜆ᜔ ᜁᜃᜏ᜔ ᜀᜌ᜔ ᜋᜋᜋᜆᜌ᜔ ᜎᜋᜅ᜔ ᜐ ᜉᜅᜒᜈᜓᜂᜈ᜔ ᜅ᜔ ᜈᜆᜆᜄᜓᜅ᜔ ᜃᜀᜎᜋᜈ᜔!"
Trace, not understanding any of her words close his eyes and changed the shape of his Aura.
"Metamorphosis-- Dolphin Variation! Echolocation!"
Mimicking one of the best forms of communication of mother nature, Trace improved it by not just understanding using the echo from the sound produced by the monster but also translating it in his language.
ᜁᜆᜓ'ᜌ᜔

"all of you!"
it doesn't matter anymore because the God of Wisdom will kill all of you...
Trace began to be anxious, hearing that the monster is powerful and is capable of speech. Furthermore, he can sense the incredible amount of mana exuded by her body.
"I must stop her right here!"
He called the association, dialing the secret combination of numbers on the phone. He is really anxious.
"Hello?"
The Chairman's voice met his call.
"Chairman... we have a maledict-type monster here, it's very powerful, please help me!"
Trace then crushed his cellphone as his muscles began to bulge and swell rapidly.
"Metamorphosis-- Primate Variation..."
He smirked in an evil manner before smashing the ground in a quake-like way, destroying the landscape.
"Slam!"
"It seems like, you're one of them?"
The powerful escapee's words which Trace immediately understood with his translation skill.
"What do you mean?"
Trace is now brimming with fury as the monster seems to not take his warning seriously. He hurled another boulder towards her which she immediately crumbled by an unknown spell.
"Whoosh!"
Trace then leaped into the air and tried to kick the monster from her throne.
"Such petty tricks won't work against me..."
The monster tried to thwart him using an unknown spell but was shocked when he found something.
"How are you doing that?!"
She found that Trace is impenetrable against magic.
"Metamorphosis-- Armadillo Variation! Grand Shield"
A powerful defense skill which shaped Trace's aura into an armadillo, granting him an immunity against any physical and magic attacks. Though, he is the weakest in fighting when in this form, his vitality as an X-rank immediately covered this weakness, making him just as powerful as a high rank S-class hunter.
"Don't make me laugh! You don't think that I don't have any immunity against such attacks?"
Trace kicked her again but this time, it is much concentrated and heavier compared before causing the monster to be shaken from her seat.
"I don't like you sitting on that filthy throne!"
He throws heavy punches which the monster failed to dodge as she was caught off guard.
"You bastard!"
However, the monster is also not an easy target. She casted another unknown spell which boosted her speed in spell casting. Moreover, just as she is casting this spell, she also summoned her underlings.
Gnashing their teeth while showing their terrifying body-- Humanoid beings with spikey spider legs, the underlings are powerful just by looking at them.
When Trace saw the horrible creatures, he immediately recognize them as the same one, his guild and the association are finding. He is aware of the rampage these creatures have done against civilians, causing him to step back for a moment.
"I see! So you're the one who summoned them, huh?"
He smirked, trying to hide his growing anxiety with his smug look.
"Attack thy enemy, my warriors!"
Charging without minding their own lives, the creatures attacked Trace, overloading him with their numerical advantage.
"Now you see the gap betwee-"
The monster was suddenly hit by a powerful force only to see that half of her face is rendered without any skin. Actually, it seems like a damage done by a ferocious monster.
When she turned to her side, she found that Trace is floating in the air while exuding a new shape of his aura.
"Metamorphosis-- Eagle Variation! Dive!"
In just a second, the monster found one of her abnormally-pointed ears sliced off her head which made her howl in pain.
"Just die!"
All hell was let loose right at this moment.

"I'm sorry sir, but it would take another hour in order to ready our association's elites, including the nearest S-ranks!"
The Chairman, upon hearing that update, began to mortify. If they would waste a huge amount of time just on preparation, what would happen to Trace and the Sarimbal Guild?
"I don't care if it's the travel time or whatever, I need them right now!"
Enzo, wearing his infamous battle robe can feel the Chairman's dislike towards the situation.
"If you don't mind, I'll take ov-"
But before he could even speak, the Chairman cut him off, telling him to lead the response team into the breached perimeter.
"I'll go next! Tell the Guildmaster of Birang Guild to send also reinforcements of they don't mind! We'll use full force!"
Enzo just bowed his head and nodded before leaving.
"Understood, Chairman!"
After that, the Chairman suddenly felt an energy coming from the room containing an artifact.
"Does that mean..."
Before he could think of, a visitor came. A very important one. He shrugged off his worry and let the visitor enter.
"What are you doing here, Silas?"
The Chairman asked the Guildmaster of Minokawa Guild in a calm and demure manner.
"The support group from our Guild is here chairman!"
The Chairman, peeking on the window, confirmed it as he saw a battalion of elite hunters from Silas' Guild.
"I don't mean to offend you, dear Silas, but what exactly made you to decide supporting another Guild, especially the one led by your enemy?"
Chairman's words is prosecuting, aiming to analyze Silas' true intentions.
"Aside from the rare material that his Hex possess, I'm not that petty enough to let the whole of Northern Luzon succumb to such abnormality..."
Minokawa's Guildmaster directly answered the Chairman, not stuttering.
"I see..."
Minutes passed and they were now ready to take off. Boarding mana-powered planes, the Association elites are now headed towards the Hex breach in Bulacan.
"Unfortunately, not all of the Commanders promised to participate, they thought that they should be in reserve incase the situation gets out of hand..."
One of the Chairman's aide reported.
"Tell me the information about the information of the hunters who are participating..."
The Chairman was handed a hologram device which reveals each of their men's information.
"As you can see, we are divided into two battalions. The first had already gone to Bulacan much earlier and is comprised of one X-rank hunter, two S-ranks, and twenty-five A-ranks, and thirty-six B-ranks."
The aide continued after coughing to clear his throat.
"The second battalion composed of another X-rank, three S-ranks, and forty A-ranks."
The Chairman, not assured about the number of men they scrambled asked if that number includes the men from the Minokawa."
"No, Chairman. But according to this data, they included the Guild Master himself and the twenty-five men, all A-ranks!"
The men from Minokawa was boarded on another plane, just behind them. They were ordered to serve as the rescue party to pull out the stranded Sarimbal Guild while the association conduct a mass-extermination of escapees.
"What's the update on the monster surge?"
"According to this simulation, Chairman, from twenty minutes ago, the dots became bigger which means more powerful monsters began to show-up!"
'Shit!'
The Chairman then began to be anxious. Before he could even think off, something hit their Plane's outer armor, causing them inside it to experience turbulence.
"What the hell is that?"
Everyone then began to grow weary. Everything is no longer something that should be noted as a coincidence.
"Kiek!"
One of the hunters in the plane became curious about what's happening so he stood up from his sit and went near to a nearby window.
"What's with the commotion?"
He asked one of his colleague who is also near the window.
"I don't know, something bumped with our ride. Maybe, a bird did it?"
A bird? He's pretty sure that that bird's ass is massive! There's no way that it's a pigeon!
"Are you sure? I can feel something following us, thoug-"
The hunter was suddenly punched by his colleague, causing him to fall down.
"What the fuck are you doing?"
He is fuming mad at his bleeding nose and bruised mouth.
"I'm trying to wake you up from your sense at it seems like you're brain is not working properly!"
While his colleague help him to stand up, something bumped on their plane again. This time, the impact is much stronger that It damaged a part of their ride.
"Now, you're saying again?"
The hunter gave his colleague a smug look before walking towards the damaged area.
"Hey, stop!"
"Nuts!"
The colleague tried to stop him from going as he believes that something wrong is located there. Although he failed because of the hunter's persistence.
Others also followed him, curious about what's happening at the back of the plane.
"Slash!"
They suddenly found the hunter, decapitated by an unknown force while the damaged area was left open, causing many to be caught-off guard and flew off the plane.
"Damn it!"
They then found giant claws boarding their plane through the open area. One of them carefully peak the wholeness of the monster, only to see that it has a face of a woman. It's wings are so corroded, which matches the overall state of her body. It smiles, revealing her blackened teeth and killing intent.
'Shit!'
The hunter who saw the face then screamed at the others with a sharp voice. His mortified face sent shivers down to the spine of the witnesses.
"Harpies!"
Before he was impaled by its claws. Blood dripping from everywhere, a proof of the massacre that is bound to happen.
"Help me!"
"No!"
"I will not loose against yo-"
The next moment then follows. The macabre of all hunters in the back cabin. Each hunters' death is only second apart.
"Get off me!"
"Blek!"
"It hurts, just kill m-"
So fast are the movements of the monstrosity that in just a matter of minutes, everyone is dead.
"Kriek!"
The monster then screamed, shattering the mana-infused window glasses and forcefully opening the door to the next cabin.

*Warning! This monster had reached the status of Demi-God!*
"How the fuck did it manage to level-up its stats in such a short amount of time! And what's with this absurd number of skills?"
Mike could only wonder about this abnormality. It is too unusual that he's pretty sure he did not saw such thing before.
In addition to this, the information provided by the system is false before he used his Conceptualization. This could only one thing-- The system is lying to him.
"Is it testing me?"
When he looked at the direction of the monster, he found it nowhere only to find that his head is now on the ground while he cannot sense the movements of his body.
*You died!*
*You resurrected!*
"The feeling of death is repulsive to my senses!"
Mike uttered as he once again step-up to fight the monster. He is now holding the five of his Kalis while looking at the boss with a killing intent.
"Seems like you don't want to made our death even, huh?"
He then unleashed all of his mana, causing the walls to come crashing down while producing a powerful earthquake that sends the Ghost Army into nothingness.
"Too bad, I thought of the opposite..."
Before the boss could even react, giant cranes made out of energy sprouted from the ground. It is the advanced form of Tyranny, which leveled-up much earlier. It made it stuck in the area where it stands.
"I'm through with your games and petty tricks!"
*You have activated the skill, Hurdle!*
*You have activated the skill, Resolve!*
*You have activated the skill, Kick!*
Using his combo attacks, Mike smashed the lower Jaw of the boss while creating a massive crater in the process.
*The boss (Wendigo) recovered!*
Not surprising, the boss quickly recovered and opened its mouth, accumulating death energy on its mouth.
*The boss (Wendigo) have activated the skill, 'Necroblast'!*
"Just like what I said, I'm done with your tricks!"
*You have activated the skill, 'Tyranny'!*
Mike then caused the debris to levitate and form a massive ball, hurling it towards the monster to block its incoming blast attack.
"Take that!"
The ball, protected by the energy produced by his kinetic skill, successfully destroyed the much-weaker concentrated Necro-blast and hit the boss right on the face.
While dust is yet to be settled, Mike used the opportunity to cast a fireball towards the monster.
*You have activated the skill, 'Fireball'!*
The fireball grew very large as Mike accumulated all his mana in a single strike.
As the dust became settled, the boss was startled, seeing another attack coming towards him.
"Boom!"
But just as Mike was about to let his guard down, a hand suddenly grabbed him by the neck, choking him immediately.
"Kriek!"
The boss then looked him straight to the eye and Mike was suddenly unable to move. He then found himself gradually descending from another realm, seemingly, escaping from the clutches of the boss.
*The boss (Wendigo) have activated 'Thanatobia'!*
The Dagitab then warned him about the skill activation of the boss, causing him to be weary about the surroundings.
*The boss (Wendigo) have activated 'Mind-Corruption!*
Mike then experienced an extreme headache causing him to stumble on the ground.
"It hurts!"
His mind is throbbing in pain. It felt like thousand of needles is piercing through his head while the thumping on his head grew bigger each beat.
"What have you done!"
Mike then looked unto the monster, while his eyes and nostrils are bleeding due to the excessive torture that he is experiencing.
He then saw the Wendigo approaching him from a distance, it is holding an ominous-looking long scythe
When it approached him, it did not immediately went to kill Mike but rather held him again by the neck and talked to him.
"ᜆᜒᜎ ᜀᜌ᜔ ᜑᜒᜈ᜔ᜇᜒ ᜁᜃᜏ᜔ ᜀᜅ᜔ ᜆᜄᜉᜄ᜔ᜋᜈ! ᜐᜒᜈᜓ ᜃ?"
"Seems like you're not the inheritor! Who are you?"
Mike was surprised to see that he can automatically understand the words of the monster.
"So, you are capable of speech?"
Mike smirked in disbelief before feeling suddenly a sharp-stinging pain on his stomach.
"Blek!"
When he saw it, however, he found that the boss had stabbed him, and left a large hole on his stomach.
"Y-you..."
And he died again.
***
"What happened?"
The Chairman asked the survivors in the back cabin to see if they could have an answer.
"T-those things are not... real... not real!"
However, they could not get anything from them since they were traumatic about the macabre they saw at the back cabin.
"Have you found the bodies?"
He asked the recovery team.
"No, sir. Seems like they devoured everything!"
The head of the team answered him.
"I was too late!"
The Chairman stated as he looked towards the dead body of the Harpies.
"This just doesn't add up! Normally, Harpies can only spawn in S-rank Hexes!"
The powerful monsters are even fabled among the others since they could only be summoned through the means of maledict-type bosses. Meaning, they do not naturally summoned by the Hex but rather by a higher-ranking monster.
That could only one thing...
"This one came from the Hex of Sarimbal?!"
From what they heard earlier from Trace's reports, there's a maledict-type boss that escaped from the Hex. He further reported that the boss summoned a number of winged monsters.
"Let's go!"
The Chairman did not waited for the plane to be fixed. Instead he created a giant sword. It is so big that it is comparable to a jet.
It flipped on the flat side, providing a vast platform where the Chairman and the association hunters could ride on.
"Everyone! Hop on!"
He commanded his men to ride immediately in order to reach Bulacan. If they could just go there in time...
While they were flying, they encountered a huge number of flying monsters coming their way.
"Everyone, ready yourselves!"
The Chairman, afraid that his powers could potentially damage their own men, ordered the three S-ranks instead to decimate the hoard.
These are the name of the three S-ranks- Aurelius Lorenzano, the commander of Bicolandia Region; Phillip Tores, the provincial general of Cavite; and Rasmus Gomez; the provincial general of Rizal.
"Be careful!"
The Chairman said before hurling a giant mana sword towards the monsters, destroying a gigantic number of them in the process.
"Do not falter!"
Fighting their way through the monsters, they were able to kill a huge number of them. With the Association's best elites, killing the harpies, are now easier compared to the disaster that happened earlier.
Of course, for A-ranks, it takes a double effort but with the Chairman and the three S-ranks, they are now more confident compared before.
"Attack!"
***
"You're such a pain in the ass!"
Trace, agitated, told the monster of his growing temper.
"Have you finally deduced that I'm much stronger than you?"
The female boss-monster wickedly laugh before blasting a powerful fire meteor to Trace who immediately dodged it.
"Do you think such petty tricks would work against me?"
Trace was suddenly found by the monster leaping into the air and kicking her right on the face.
"You bastard!"
As a counter-attack, spiky roots began to sprout from the ground and chased Trace, who in turn, made himself impenetrable.
"Listen here, bitch! There's a reason why I am an X-rank hunter..."
Trace's aura then began to change into something extraordinary. It's deep blue color then began to change into a fiery red one, making it look more ominous than usual.
'What's with this sudden change in aura..."
The boss-monster thought. For her, something big is about to come.
"Much powerful than me? Huh! You gotta be kidding me!"
His eyes turned red while transforming. His muscles then tensed up as a result of the surge of mana, distributing throughout his body.
"Maleficta!"
The atmosphere suddenly became heavier. Trace's presence is enough to make the summoned creatures to be decimated as he unleashed his own aura.
"Whoosh!"
Every step he takes melt the ground beneath him, turning it instantly into lava. While his aura changed into something demonic, producing a color of scarlet.
"How do you like this form?"
Trace is the pinnacle of all fighter-type hunters, one that is feared even to the association themselves and is considered a threat by the rival guilds, especially the Minokawa.
Everyone knew that standing infront of him is a huge business to deal with.
Out of all the hunters out there, he was the best killer as he will never regret murdering someone if they dare to mess with him. Furthermore, his abilities are not known among the hunter industry because he remains to be oblivious and would not make any appearance unless it is needed for him to do so.
The one that he used earlier is the skill that he calls "Metamorphosis". it is an ability that enables him to manipulate the form of his aura into an animal, copying its most innate trait effortlessly. Those traits tremendously boosted his stats, making him an effective close-fighter.
Metamorphosis is his most frequently-used skill. But despite this, it is not his most powerful as for Trace's perspective, it is the bare minimum of his capability as an X-rank hunter.
The one that he used now is a skill called Maleficta. It turns the user demonic, allowing him to channel an unknown energy from the pits of hell strengthening him by 101%. When used alongside Metamorphosis, it powers his aura skills by a huge number. No one's got to tell this secret ability of his as they were killed instantly by the Sarimbal Guildmaster.
"I don't think there's nothing that could make you powerful over me!"
Trace then leaped from the ground and delivered a powerful punch that finally made the monster to leave her filthy-looking throne.
"What have you done?"
The female monster then unleash a continuous thunder strike, towards Trace, not giving a heed about the damages her summons are receiving.
"I finally decided to eliminate you!"
Dark clouds then became to descend from the heavens. They are approaching in mass, encircling the female-monster as if the were rushing to her aid.
These clouds then formed into a giant monster, who bears a resemblance to a nine-tailed fox with glowing red eyes.
"I'm not yet done!"
She then raised massive chunks of earth from the ground and then crumpled them effortlessly in the air, forming a giant earthball before shaping it into something hideous.
"What the fuck are you doing?"
Trace then positioned himself cautiously, attentive towards any possible attacks.
"I won't let you get aw-"
When he was about to attack however, he found that the nine-tailed fox made out of cloud dashed towards him with an enormous speed. It's movements are comparable to lightning while it mimics the strength of a ferocious apex predator.
"Grrr!"
While he was about to escape, huge vines strangled him to the ground and thrashed him continuously on the trees.
"What is that?!"
When he quickly locked his eyes on the source of such ability, he found two creatures. One is a dwarf which resembled a wood while the other is a giant Golem made out of rock.
"Attack him, my servants!"
Together, they ganged up on him. Continuously attacking him with their own powers.
The boss then raised her staff and enchanted in a poetic tone.
"Flame and Water, I summon you to life!"
Flames began to materialize on her hand while water starts to accumulate on the other.
"Those three are not enough! Take this!"
She then hurled the flame energy towards him and as it approached him, it suddenly formed a skull-face.
"This is not fair!"
Trace complained while fighting the already powerful summons of the boss.
"It's time for you to go, Water summon!"
The boss then sent her water summon which she shaped unto a Hippocampus which is a horse monster with the tails of a fish.
"Now, let's see if you could take this!"
"Kiek!"
If those creatures are not yet enough, the boss resummoned her army of humanoid monsters with spider-legs again. At the same time, her harpies have also joined the fight while she enchanter her own staff.
"What do you think about my army?"
She asked Trace who is clearly agitated with the sudden twist in the battle.
"Absurd!"
He shouted before punching the air and blasting a hole through the hoard of monsters charging towards him.
"But at the same time, you made me too excited! So much so that I wanted you to give me every single of your men for me to kill!"
He then leaped into the air and exhaled a powerful air, blasting the harpies away in an instant.
"Metamorphosis- Octopus Variation! Lone Warrior!"
Trace then held all of the summons using his octopus-shaped aura. Grabbing all of them, including the boss, using the energy tentacles and hurling them endlessly.
"This is the difference between our power!"
The tentacles then generated spiky blades all around them, impaling each of the grabbed monsters.
"Absorb!"
The blades works like an injection, absorbing the mana of the targets while injecting Trace's poisonous aura within them.
"Fuck yourself!"
While he is in the process of siphoning their mana, he found the monster smirking in an uncanny manner.
"You fell!"
She then held the blade and made sure that it will stay within her.
"My retribution!"
The deadly red lightning then came out from the boss's palm and was immediately absorbed by the tentacle aura of Trace.
"What's this?"
Trace then felt as if he's being cremated alive in his own aura, causing him to perceive the source of this energy.
But when he found it, time is already too late.
"Ahhh!"
He was already poised to be electrocuted. His biggest strength then became his own weakness.
"Do you think I wouldn't know that you are not that invincible?"
While the powerful X-rank hunter was suffering in the electrocuting energy, the boss took the chance to nullify Trace's aura in order to remove the tentacles from her summons.
She then levitated and began transforming to her next form.
"ᜀᜃᜓ ᜀᜅ᜔ ᜁᜐ ᜐ ᜋ᜔ᜄ ᜑᜒᜈᜒᜍᜎ᜔ ᜅ᜔ ᜃᜑᜓᜎᜓᜊᜈ᜔..."
I'm one of the great commanders of the Hulob...
She spoke in a wild manner. Trace, who is aware the whole time that he is being electrocuted, picked up the words which he translated immediately.
"ᜀᜅ᜔ ᜐᜒᜌᜅ᜔ ᜈᜃᜆᜎᜓ ᜐ ᜃᜋᜆᜌᜈ᜔ ᜐ ᜉᜋᜋᜄᜒᜆᜈ᜔ ᜅ᜔ ᜉᜄ᜔ᜐᜓᜃᜓ ᜅ᜔ ᜃᜈᜒᜌᜅ᜔ ᜃᜍᜓᜈᜓᜅᜈ᜔..."
The one who overcame death and surrendered her wisdom to the greatest of them all...
"Damn it..."
The monster do not know it but someone is practically having his time watching Trace suffer from the lightning shock.
When the Guildmaster saw that person he smirked for he knew that the fight is already over.
"You..."
With all his remaining strength, Trace pushed for an escape, countering the boss's mana with his own.
"Let's do this..."
