Chapter 74 - Wave's stress level goes up.

AN HOUR LATER

Naruto opened his eyes and immediately yelped in fear.

Tenzo's wooden face was closely staring down at him.

"Dammit! Don't scare me like that!" He complained loudly.

Tenzo stared at him for another second, before backing away slightly.

"I was merely making sure that you haven't been overtaken by the Kyūbi." Tenzo explained. "Considering how long you took."

Naruto had been pretty happy at seeing Yamato, although it was a bit confusing how he insisted being called Tenzo for some reason, it didn't matter to him much.

But Naruto really wished he would stop looking so scary sometimes, like a ghost, a creepy wooden ghost.

"Oh... I guess I did take a while." Naruto admitted quietly, then his expression darkened. "I... have to train more."

Yamato stared at him with a raised eyebrow.

He did have to train more, the Kyūbi had said alot of things, about Shinobi and Sage Grandpa and Bijū, too many things for him to think about right now.

But...

That masked guy, he needed to find him and kick his ass!

He jumped up, making Tenzo lean back in surprise.

"Tenzo! Let's spar!" He demanded loudly, pointing at his new sensei dramatically.

Yamato blinked silently, looking mildly confused.

"We aren't here to spar, we are here so you can learn how to control the Kyūbi's Chakra, so you can use it safely." He reminded the boy slowly.

Naruto responded by drawing on a bit of the Kyūbi's Chakra, and just like he and Kyūbi agreed, it flowed into him smoothly instead of overwhelming him.

One Tail... Two Tails... Three Tails...

It still hurt, he still felt a bit angry, but he just pushed it back like he always did.

He pointed his fist at Tenzo, whose eyes widened slightly at the sight of his Tailed Chakra cloak.

"I'm pretty amazing, ya know?" He claimed arrogantly. "So we're going to fight now."

'Brat, 'I'm pretty amazing.'? Really?' Kyūbi's voice came from inside his head. 'Do you want me to stop helping you, so we can see how amazing you are?'

Naruto mentally let out a sheepish laugh, he still remembered when he got overwhelmed in Older Naruto's time, and Pervy Sage had to help him.

'Ehhh, I meant we are both amazing.'

Naruto still felt conflicted about Kyūbi, why couldn't the bastard fox be more sorry about killing his parents, or trying to kill him?

But he understood, that's why he didn't hate the fox, not really, not after hearing everything else he went through.

Kyuubi hated humanity, with an intense burning passion that made Naruto feel sick, but it wasn't without reason.

For over 900 years, Kyūbi had been disappointed, he was hated and feared, he was hunted by Shinobi because they wanted his power, and when he finally hid away from the world, Madara came and used him as a weapon.

So, Naruto couldn't blame him for hating humans, but...

Naruto would prove that humanity deserved a chance, like Pervy Sage said, Hatred was a cycle, if he hated Kyuubi, then Kyūbi would hate him back, and when he died, Kyūbi would hate the next Jinchūriki.

Actually, thinking about this made Naruto wonder, did Kyuubi have a real name? Because calling him 'Kyūbi' was a bit weird, like calling Naruto 'Two Legs'.

'Hey, do you have a name?' He asked curiously.

There was silence in his mind for a moment.

'Leave me alone, brat.'

Naruto would have retaliated, but the Kyūbi's voice had sounded... off?

"Are you sure you are fine?" Tenzo questioned seriously.

Naruto realized he was still holding out his fist, and looking to the side slightly with a conflicted expression.

"Uhhhh..." Naruto trailed off, rubbing the back of his head awkwardly. "Sorry."

Tenzo continued looking at him carefully, before leaping away.

"I suppose if you are relaxed enough to get distracted, then it shouldn't be a problem." He took out a Kunai and got into a battle stance. "Let us spar, then."

Naruto grinned widely, showing off his now sharp canine teeth.

"Yeah!" He got down in a crouch, before leaping forwards, his body blurring as he moved much faster than he usually could.

1 WEEK LATER

I was working on my newest project, building a teleportation network for The Order.

Teleporting people with DP was costly, maybe not as a one-off considering my current income, but I couldn't keep teleporting everyone around constantly.

That Otogakure stunt cost me a pretty penny, even with the cost being offset by the massive ritual conducted by the non-combatants, it still cost alot.

So mass teleportation was not something I could do freely, so my idea was simple.

Teleportation Gates.

I would never be able to completely negate the cost of teleporting unless some actually invented a way to do it reliably, there were ways, but they were either very complicated and hard to learn, like the Flying Thunder God, or restricted to a bloodline like Kamui, and as far as I knew, there was no way to teleport massive amounts of people or goods reliably.

But what I could do was supplement the cost, instead of using DP to teleport something, I would use DP to create something that can teleport people at the cost of something else, this principle was how most of my blessings worked, it would be hell on my income if I had to spend DP every time some used them, so they used the users soul power and Chakra as fuel, the strongest ones even had a cost to the user physically or mentally, if they pushed it.

I wanted these Gates to be usable by pretty much anyone, not just the ones strong in Chakra or soul.

So that meant experimenting, lots and lots of experimenting.

Nature Chakra, normal Chakra, stamina, even DP directly by requiring prayers and offerings before the Gate was used.

I was going to be as cheap as possible with these Gates, they would, ideally, be usable even if I suddenly disappeared.

But that meant a mind-numbing amount of work, figuring out which sacrifices would be both easy enough for common people to use, and potent enough to actually fuel the Gates.

And as I was testing the viability of just making a Gate that accepted all inputs, I felt an influx of souls entering my Divine Realm.

Before I even had time to check what was happening, Shun contacted me telepathically.

'Creator!' Shun urgently called. 'The Bridge was attacked! We are being attacked!'

I immediately focused on the bridge.

It was complete chaos, a hundred dead and dying civilians lying around large craters, dust clouding the air. Dozens of Kirigakure Shinobi fought with the Military Wing, people were fighting with everything they had.

For every Kiri Shinobi, there were two Order members, but Kiri's status of being a Great Village wasn't an empty title, they were doing a good job of surviving even while outnumbered, and the lack of Templars was really showing.

'Creator, just wanted to let you know that some dipshits tried to invade Roran, but they were slaughtered by the Puppet army, only a handful of civilians were injured.' Nue suddenly spoke up in my mind.

But as I was about to respond, I felt a larger influx of souls entering my Divine Realm.

I quickly grabbed Asura and Sadako and teleported them to the bridge, I disliked doing it so suddenly and without fanfare, but any life came before my dislike.

Shifting my attention to the most recent influx of souls, I found myself looking at a town currently on fire, bodies littered the ground, with people fleeing in every direction.

I recognized this village, it was one of the bigger fishing villages, one of the places with only a token Order presence since it was so isolated.

In the water, sat a boat, and on it were Shinobi bombarding the town, sending barrages of Jutsu flying into buildings and people alike.

I raised a barrier to block the current round of Jutsu flying at the town.

And then I teleported Yatagarasu high above the ship, even without warning, it only took a second before he realized what he was there for.

With a screech, a beam burst from his maw, piercing through the boat and incinerating a couple of the Shinobi before they realized what was happening.

A member of the Crow Clan came up to the Great Messenger body that I had in my divine realm.

"Emergency news, Great Messenger, The order has intercepted an attack on one of the border towns!" It reported urgently. "The attackers are wearing Kiri headbands."

A small influx of souls was felt again, and when I looked at the place of their death, it was another coastal town, only this time, it was a single squad just throwing Jutsu around on a street.

I didn't care anymore, I could always get more DP.

A portal opened above them, and my Godly body moved, now much bigger than it was during my fight with Jashin.

A hand smashed down, at speeds so fast that it would look like teleportation to a mortal eye.

It phased through the buildings, it phased through the corpses and wounded civilians, it did not phase through the Shinobi, who were instantly crushed into paste by the force of the impact.

My Divine Realm started shaking, the darkness between stars seemed to pulse, the stars brightened, becoming almost blinding.

A small part of my mind told me to calm down.

But the rest of my mind was consumed by cold fury, for once, I felt utter hatred, an emotion I rarely truly felt.

The smaller part won, and I shoved down my feelings, I couldn't let the anger consume me, if I let any of my people die because I acted rashly I would not be worthy of their worship.

I used so DP to detect all living being with a certain amount of Chakra in or around Wave, filtering out anyone who was faithful to me.

The Great Messenger stirred from his stillness as I looked at the young crow that was anxiously waiting for an answer.

"Young Crow, let us return to your island, I will relay the words of The Watcher Behind The Stars." I spoke through it.

Without even waiting for the Crow Clan member to respond, I flew towards the Island.

He would coodinate with the crows to intercept the rest of the Kiri Shinobi, and if the Order couldn't, then I could always just teleport people.

First, my people.

Then, punishment.
