Dove looked at Jacob as he spoke with her hands folded, and her face void of any much expression or urgency, like she was listening to a child blabber rubbish. She saw how Noah spoke, trying to avert the topic, but unsurprisingly the topic did not get averted, as she understood that everyone was curious about it. But she also understood what was Jacob trying to pull.
Now everyone turned to look at Dove, hearing her chuckle, they saw her shrug while staring straight at Jacob as she said, "I am sorry for laughing. Actually, I just found it very funny when I heard you say that you know that you have some responsibility towards the company. It was… um, surprising, I must say."
Hearing her say that, Jacob frowned and his face went dark, while a few of them who knew what she meant pressed their lips together to contain a smile from appearing on their lips. While others in the room, who did not know what was she talking about look around in confusion.
