Nine Tails admitted to himself that he had been too excited and careless.

Uchiha Gen turned toward Kushina and Rena Uzumaki, who had stayed behind.
Kushina grinned.
"Nope! I'm curious about what you're gonna discuss with Tsunade, hehe~!"
Rena smiled softly.
"If it's something private, I don't mind stepping out."
Uchiha Gen shook his head.
"Nah, it's fine."
"Just remember—this conversation is confidential."

He smirked.
"Not like you could leak it even if you wanted to."
Kushina & Rena: "…?"
A second later, they both laughed awkwardly.
They knew exactly what he meant.

"So," Tsunade folded her arms.
"You called me here because you've made a breakthrough with Reanimation Jutsu, right?"

Their eyes darted to Uchiha Gen in shock.

"Now, it doesn't require sacrifices—just a DNA sample like hair, blood, or tissue."
"I also developed Soul Summoning, which lets me call back the soul of a deceased person."
"But as for a true resurrection…?"
He shook his head.
"Still no clue. I need more time."
Tsunade exhaled slowly.
"That's still… insane."
"You figured all of this out in just a day?"
She sighed.
"My apprentice is just as monstrous as ever."
Then—
Uchiha Gen turned to her.
"So… do you want me to summon Nawaki's soul?"
Tsunade's body stiffened.
Her expression darkened.

She shook her head.
"No."
"Not yet."
"I… I don't want to get my hopes up, only to be crushed again."
Her voice trembled slightly.
Uchiha Gen nodded in understanding.
"Fair enough."
"But—"
"If you ever want to try… you'll need to prepare his DNA sample in advance."
Tsunade stiffened again.
Then, she sighed.
"I don't have one."

"If… the resurrection ever becomes possible, I'll dig up Nawaki's grave if I have to."
Kushina and Rena winced.
That… sounded morbid.

"Does resurrection really exist?"
Kushina finally asked.

Uchiha Gen grinned.
"You're talking about Uzumaki Nagato—Jiraiya's old student, right?"
Tsunade snapped toward him.
"You know him?"
"Yeah," Uchiha Gen said.
"But… those eyes don't belong to him."
Tsunade & Kushina: "What?!"
Uchiha Gen's eyes glowed coldly.
"They belong to Uchiha Madara."
Silence.
Then—
Tsunade whispered:
"But… Madara is dead."
Uchiha Gen's smirk deepened.
"You sure about that?"
Tsunade felt a chill run down her spine.
The truth was far more terrifying than she had imagined.
