LOGAN'S POV
"I'm not going to leave," she said, loud and proud like she owned the damn place.
I clenched my jaw, trying not to snap.
I breathed in… then out. Slowly.
I tried to calm myself, but this woman? She was testing my patience.
"You know what, Rachel…" I said quietly at first. "I really don't want to get angry. I swear I don't. But you… you really want to see me explode, don't you?"
She didn't even blink.
Then she looked me dead in the eyes.
"Shut your bitch ass up," she snapped, waving her hand like I was some annoying fly. "You—you—are the creator of this problem. You have no right to talk when your father and I are talking. None."
She even had the nerve to smile after that.
"Know that… and know peace," she added with a smirk like she just dropped some ancient wisdom.
I almost burst into laughter right there—not because it was funny, but because this woman truly had no idea who she was talking to.
