Nora shook her head so fast it looked like she might pass out.
"No! No! I never planned to leave! I-I just wanted to live a better life!" she cried, her voice shaky.
Aurora scoffed.
"Yeah? Then, even once did you think of what I would have to face after you left? I would be sued for fraud, my reputation ruined, and my hard work wasted.
I would have a hard time proving my innocence. Even after getting invited to some other events, I would have to go through extra rounds of security just to confirm that I am the true Miss Dawn. Did you think about that, Nora?"
Nora shook her head again, tears streaming down her face.
"I... I didn't think it would go that far! I just wanted a chance!"
Aurora crossed her arms, her face blank. "A chance?" she repeated.
"You wanted a chance, so you stole mine?"
Nora couldn't answer. She just sobbed, her hands gripping the floor.
Aurora sighed, shaking her head. "Pathetic."
She turned to the businessmen, who were still standing there awkwardly.
