Aurora returned home with a frustrated expression.
"That was… absolutely ridiculous," she muttered, flinging her coat over a nearby chair. "What is wrong with people today?"
She poured herself a glass of water and took a long sip, trying to cool her nerves. But the frustration lingered like static under her skin.
With a long sigh, Aurora walked into the personal study and sat down at her computer.
It was night, and all the members of the Waters family were already asleep.
The multi-monitor setup blinked to life, the familiar glow soothing her more than any tea or music could.
"I should...just hack into some accounts to steam off," Aurora muttered.
It didn't take long before she found it.
Joker.
Her fingers paused as the name lit up her screen.
Aurora had seen his alias pop up in a few dark forums, a name whispered in digital corners, usually connected with blackmail, leaked photos, and extortion.
Her jaw tightened.
