Chapter 56 - meeting

In a bustling and lively street, a handsome and dignified man could be seen, emanating an aura of supernatural grandeur. He was Anos Voldigoad, the Demon King, strolling with two beautiful girls named Misha and Sasha. The street was filled with strange and eerie sounds, as if the whispers of demons echoed from every corner. Coffee shops were packed with customers, and the scent of fresh bread wafting from nearby bakeries created a warm and pleasant atmosphere. Anos walked with a gentle, satisfied smile on his lips, as if he had finally achieved the peace and tranquility he deserved after years of endless war and hatred.

He appreciated this peaceful era. This calmness proved to him that his sacrifices and choices before his reincarnation had not been in vain. He had chosen the right path. Of course, Anos Voldigoad, the great Demon King, never made mistakes. The cornerstone of his personality was absolute self-confidence. Even if he knew how arrogant he was, he would never correct himself. After all, he was Anos Voldigoad, and his actions were never wrong.

Misha, in a tone that was cold yet warm, said to Anos, "Anos-kun, Sasha and I learned how to make your favorite dish from your mother. Do you want us to make it for you tonight so you can try it?" Misha was always like this—she seemed like a cold robot at first glance, but if you paid attention, you could sense a certain warmth in her words.

Sasha, with a tone full of pride and confidence, added, "Don't get the wrong idea, okay? I'm only doing this to thank you." Anos simply smiled and said nothing. But Sasha, who had been very excited while learning to cook, glared at Misha with a flushed face. Anos burst into laughter.

"Hahahahahaha!" Anos laughed loudly. Sasha's face turned red with embarrassment, and she glared at Misha in frustration. Misha, with her usual blank expression, stared back at Sasha, unable to understand why she was so angry.

"Misha!!!!" Sasha shouted, her voice trembling with embarrassment. As they walked home, Anos suddenly paused. Sasha and Misha became serious and stared at Anos. This was unusual for them, as Anos usually always had a smile on his face, as if he knew everything and nothing could surprise him. But this time, Anos smiled again—a smile that hinted at amusement, as if something rare had happened.

"Is something wrong, Anos-kun?" Misha asked. Sasha also stared at Anos, eager to know what had made him so serious. Anos smirked with curiosity and amusement as he replied, "Nothing, just a very interesting guest has arrived. Let's go; we shouldn't keep them waiting." This cryptic response only heightened Misha and Sasha's curiosity. They continued walking without haste and soon arrived at Anos's home.

Anos opened the door. The house was quiet, and Anos didn't sense the presence of his parents. They entered the living room, where a person with long silver hair and beautiful crimson eyes was sitting on the couch. This person's appearance was so beautiful and androgynous that their gender seemed ambiguous—they appeared both male and female, yet neither at the same time. They were sipping wine, their crimson eyes fixed on Anos, and they wore a smile similar to Anos's, one of amusement.

As soon as Misha and Sasha saw Shikama Doji, they began to tremble. A primal, deep fear enveloped their beings. Their bodies shook, and cold sweat dripped from their foreheads. Even though Shikama Doji had suppressed his outer god traits to avoid corrupting the fragile mortals and turning them into fleshy, tentacled creatures, the presence of an outer god was still beyond their tolerance. Anos smiled and placed his hands on Sasha and Misha's shoulders. Their trembling stopped.

"Well, outer god from another world, why have you come to my world?" Anos asked. He had easily seen through Shikama Doji's nature and was smirking as he awaited a response. Misha and Sasha stared at Anos in surprise. "An outer god?!" Shikama Doji smirked and, while staring at Anos, finished the rest of his wine. He wasn't surprised that Anos had seen through his identity. It would have been strange if Anos hadn't. Anos Voldigoad, the Demon King of Tyranny, was a transcendent being, the closest to absolute power and knowledge in his world. Even Shikama Doji wasn't sure if he could defeat Anos at full power. Even after becoming an outer god and growing dozens of times stronger, he still didn't have such confidence. Anos's power as the protagonist of the story was invincible, to the point where Shikama Doji guessed he could easily kill most outer gods, except for beings like Nyarlathotep and Yog-Sothoth, who existed beyond all concepts.

"Your world is truly an interesting place. There are many interesting things to see. But most importantly, there's you, Anos Voldigoad, the Demon King of Tyranny. You are the most interesting of all. You can consider me one of your admirers who is very fond of you," Shikama Doji replied, his crimson eyes gleaming. Anos, with an amused smirk, looked at the outer being before him—a being from beyond the silver sea of divinity, twisted and strange, as if made of madness.

"So you've come to see me, outer god? You're not as annoying as the gods of my world, but you're more troublesome than them. I can see your true nature. I sense no emotions from you. You are a monster wearing the skin of a living being. A twisted soul that operates solely on desires and logic. Worse, I can feel an endless madness within you. How long will it take before you are consumed by this madness?" Anos replied. He had easily seen through the nature of the god before him. This alien divinity was powerful and dangerous. Shikama Doji's crimson eyes were like an endless sea of madness, a twelvefold abyss of insanity.

"That was an interesting analysis. My name is Shikama Doji. From now on, I will be your guest," Shikama Doji said in a calm and matter-of-fact tone. Anos smirked and didn't refuse the offer. These two beings were strangely similar, both seeking amusement. Misha and Sasha listened to this conversation in astonishment, as if a future full of trouble awaited them.
