"Yes, yes, that's exactly the expression I wanted! That fear—sprinkled over your delicious soul like seasoning—I can't help but give you extra points! You truly are a master chef!" Morlun sneered as he slowly approached Theatrical Spider-Man.
Theatrical Spider-Man struggled to move his legs, but his heavily injured body, coupled with the terrifying pressure emanating from Morlun, made his very soul tremble. His body refused to obey him, leaving him helpless as Morlun closed in step by step.
"Heh heh heh~ Here I come, my delicious little spider~" Morlun's face twisted into a sickly grin as he reached out toward Theatrical Spider-Man.
Smack!
At that moment, a hand suddenly shot out from the side, gripping Morlun's wrist firmly.
"Hmm?" Morlun was momentarily stunned and turned his head to look.
But instead of a person, all he saw was a fist—about the size of a sandbag—smashing directly into his eye socket.
Boom!
Morlun was sent flying.
Behind him, the air shattered like a mirror.
From Theatrical Spider-Man's perspective, he saw the terrifying figure tumbling backward into the fractured air before vanishing entirely.
Dazed, he turned his head, only to see another figure clad in a spider suit standing beside him.
"Who are you?"
Peter glanced at him and said, "I think you need to say goodbye to your girlfriend first, then wait for me here."
"Wh-why?" Theatrical Spider-Man was confused.
Peter replied impatiently, "That guy was coming after you, and there are seven or eight more just like him. Are you sure you want to stay here?"
"N-no, no way," Theatrical Spider-Man shivered.
Just one was enough to make him despair.
If more showed up...
However, instead of immediately following Peter's instructions, he hesitated and asked, "Can you handle them alone? Maybe I should help?"
Peter shot him a glance. "In your current state, do you think you'd be of any help? Go, stop wasting time."
With that, he stepped forward.
The air shattered into mirrored fragments, and Peter disappeared.
Theatrical Spider-Man froze for a moment, instinctively reaching out to touch the space where Peter had vanished—but he felt nothing.
Peter's mystery deepened in his mind.
Elsewhere
Inside the Mirror Dimension.
When Peter entered, he found Morlun standing there with his arms crossed, watching him leisurely.
"A spider with magic? Interesting."
Peter eyed him in return. "Looks like you've encountered Doctor Strange before."
"Doctor Strange? Oh, you mean that annoying sorcerer?" Morlun licked his lips. "Yeah, I've run into those guys in a few worlds before. They were a nuisance. But only a nuisance!"
Boom!
Morlun stomped in mid-air, launching himself toward Peter.
This guy could fly!
Fortunately, Peter was prepared.
A large hole suddenly appeared before Morlun—the material space folded, bending from in front of him to behind him.
As a result, Morlun's outstretched hand ended up grabbing his own foot.
Morlun quickly withdrew his hand.
Then, he did something that genuinely surprised Peter.
He clenched his fist and punched the magical energy ring beside him!
Even more astonishingly, the ring—composed entirely of magic—shattered from his punch!
Peter had been using magic for a long time, but this was the first time he had encountered something like this.
"Jie Jie, do you really think such a trick can defeat me? Too naive!" Morlun let out a sinister laugh and lunged at Peter once again.
Peter's expression hardened as he swiftly retreated backward.
Although the Heirs' family possessed the Leech Totem, which was the weakest among the totemic creatures, it had a unique ability—just like the "mouse" in a game of Beast Chess, it could directly siphon power from other totemic beings.
Through the Great Web, Peter had seen that Spider-Man from Earth-13, who retained the power of Captain Universe, originally had the strength to defeat Solus, the leader of the Heirs' family. At the very least, he shouldn't have fallen so quickly.
However, due to underestimating his opponent, he allowed Solus to get too close—ultimately, Solus drained him completely in a single bite.
Knowing this, Peter would never give Morlun such an opportunity.
He reached out to both sides with his hands.
The formless, intangible air seemed to take on a solid shape as he forcefully pulled it toward himself.
The entire world began to twist and collapse, bearing down upon Morlun.
"What kind of power is this?!" Morlun's eyes widened in shock. He frantically looked around and even took to the air, but he still couldn't find a way out.
In the end, he had no choice but to accelerate toward Peter.
Morlun's decision was correct.
The only flaw in this technique lay in Peter himself.
And that was also the only path to survival.
[Mirror World: Heaven and Earth Collapse]!
As Peter brought his hands together, the surrounding earth closed in at the same moment.
Boom!
Countless tons of soil came crashing down on Morlun.
Then, the land continued to churn and press downward, with fresh layers of dirt piling on, relentlessly compressing the area where Morlun was trapped.
"Ahhh—!" Morlun let out a series of roars, uncertain whether they were out of rage or pain. He desperately struck the surrounding ground, but no matter how much dirt he cleared away, even more filled the space.
This process continued for over ten minutes.
Finally, Peter hovered in midair, looking down at the massive stone sphere beneath him, which had a diameter of over ten kilometers. He wiped the sweat off his face.
Although that maneuver might have seemed simple, it was anything but.
If this stone sphere existed in the real world, it would be enough to obliterate an entire city.
And it hadn't formed all at once—Peter had continuously manipulated the earthen materials within the Mirror World, layering them again and again to construct it.
Even for him, unleashing such a high-intensity attack in a short period was a significant burden.
Fortunately, the result was worth it.
Morlun had been captured!
The Heirs could not be killed easily.
They had established a cloning device in a certain universe. If they died, they could revive themselves by transplanting their totemic essence into a new body.
This process granted them an almost immortal existence!
And once Morlun was resurrected, news of his fate would immediately spread to the other members of the Heirs' family.
The other siblings of Morlun weren't much of a concern—at best, they were on par with him, or perhaps even weaker.
The real threat to Peter was Morlun's father.
The leader of the Heirs!
And quite possibly, the Totem God of the Leech Totem!
Solus!
He was a being with true multiversal-level power.
Facing him alone was far too risky.
Before that, Peter needed to find and recruit some powerful allies!
