Amanda Jones - POV
Joshua still looked a little apprehensive when he pulled me into a hug. "I don't know why, but I have been restless this entire day, Amanda," he mumbled in my ear as he pulled back.
"Nothing will happen to me, Joshua," I told him, but he still looked a little uncertain. As he let me go, I stepped back when he looked down at our baby. He was fast asleep without a care in this world when Joshua bent down and placed a kiss on his forehead as well.
"I have patrol duties tonight. Both of you stay safe, all right?" he asked me, and I nodded my head. He moved forward and placed a warm kiss on my lips before he left me standing at the front door as he walked to our car. Even though we had been moved to the main pack, Joshua was still part of the elite warrior group that Beta Perez had formed, and this meant that he had to go back to the beta's pack every day.
