Zyran hadn't expected the girl to cry like a child in front of her mother. She wasn't refuting the baby allegations he had in his mind about her. She was just like a little child. A part of his mind tried to tell him that the girl didn't want any of this, while another part, filled with trust issues, made him believe it was all an act.
His grandfather was capable of creating a whole emotional scene just to make things seem real. Zyran wasn't about to fall for something like this. He averted his gaze when the girl started crying.
"I'm sorry, Mom," Mila apologized again, sniffling after she could no longer cry.
Mrs. Grace nodded. "It's okay. We'll overcome this too."
"Yes, we will," Alvaro interrupted with a wide smile. He stood up and stretched out his hand to the woman. "I am Alvaro Montclair."
Mrs. Grace hesitated before shaking his hand. "Ava what?" She turned to ask her daughters.
