{Music Recommendation: Western Nights ~ Ethel Cain}
Roughly handled and now cuffed inside a room, Mr. Giovanni Dennis tried to think about his entire life and how he got here.
The lands he had belonged to his father's father. He had always been a homebody and never left the town. He knew everyone that moved in and out. He never took anyone's land- only bought.
And he did it all genuinely. Why was this happening to him now? An upright man like him, he didn't deserve this.
"You have a visitor," an officer opened the door and said to him.
Thinking it was his wife, Giovanni tried to use his shoulder to wipe his tears. He practiced smiling so his family wouldn't have to worry about him.
The door opened again, and the visitor entered.
"What is going on here? Why treat someone in such a manner? Please release his hands," Alvaro ordered with a frown.
Mr. Dennis, who was yet to see the man's face, turned his head to the side to see who it was because he sounded like he was in charge.
