It took Mila an hour to finally get tired of hearing the heartbeat, yet she didn't want to go home.
"I'll have the images printed and also a heartbeat recorded. You can take it home," Doctor Sarah said, seeing that Mila wasn't happy after the ultrasound session ended.
The girl had cried so much; she was happy, scared, and excited, feeling so many emotions at the same time.
Mila nodded to the woman's response. Now sitting beside Zyran, she felt even more conscious of her stomach, rubbing it at intervals.
"So far, everything looks normal for the foetus. A strong heartbeat, which is normal for an embryo ten weeks old." As she spoke, she wrote something on Mila's medical chart.
Zyran, who had been quiet since everything happened, finally spoke.
