Lucian's determination burned like a flame in his chest as he trudged forward, his eyes scanning the eerie landscape of the cursed world. The air was thick with dread, and every step seemed to lead him deeper into the nightmare that Wimbledon had become. He knew that the answers he sought were ahead of him, hidden within the depths of this desolate land.
As he navigated through the jagged terrain, the twisted trees and ominous creatures lurking in the shadows, a thought kept gnawing at him. What happened to this world?
His thoughts were interrupted by a low rumble in the distance, followed by the unmistakable screech of something massive. Lucian's hand instinctively gripped the hilt of his Celestial Wolf Daggers, ready for whatever monstrosity would emerge.
Out of the darkness, a colossal creature lumbered toward him—its form was a fusion of a gorilla and a lizard, towering over him with scales as black as coal. Its glowing eyes locked onto Lucian, and a blood-curdling roar filled the air.
The creature charged, its fists swinging with terrifying force. Lucian's reflexes kicked in, and he leapt to the side, narrowly avoiding the crushing blow. His daggers flashed through the air as he retaliated, slicing across the creature's arm. However, the beast barely flinched, its thick hide resisting the strike.
"Not good..." Lucian muttered under his breath.
The creature swung its other arm at him, and Lucian ducked, rolling to the side just in time. He could feel the ground shake beneath him as the beast slammed its fist into the earth, cracking the ground open.
He gritted his teeth. "I need to end this quickly."
Lucian darted forward, using his speed to close the distance between them. With a swift movement, he plunged one of his daggers deep into the creature's side, but the impact was weaker than he'd hoped. The monster let out a guttural snarl and swung its massive tail at him.
Lucian barely avoided the attack, but the force of the blow sent him sprawling across the ground. He quickly regained his footing, but the creature was already bearing down on him again.
"This is bad... too strong," Lucian thought as he tried to catch his breath. He was used to fighting, but this world seemed to amplify everything—the monsters were faster, stronger, and more relentless than any he had encountered before.
But Lucian wasn't one to give up. He steeled himself, narrowing his focus on the creature's movements. As it lunged again, Lucian rolled underneath it and leapt to its back, where its defenses were weaker. He plunged both daggers into the beast's spine, twisting the blades to inflict as much damage as possible.
With a final scream, the creature collapsed, its massive body hitting the ground with a thud that sent a shockwave through the air. Lucian staggered back, panting heavily, sweat dripping down his face. The fight had taken everything out of him, but he knew it was far from over.
His focus remained on his goal—finding Xeran and uncovering the truth about this world.
