Chapter 305 - Chapter 558 - Crazy Death

Originally, he wanted to attract a small wave, but when Aoki saw the Scolipede rushing out, he knew that things were bad.

A Scolipede who was obviously much larger than the other Scolipede rushed to the front.

She charged toward Aoki and the others aggressively.

After Aoki scanned the data of the Scolipede through the system, his expression did not improve.

"This is troublesome, level 52, a Scolipede at the edge of being an elite, this is serious. Did I attract the leader of the Scolipede swarm?" Aoki thought to himself.

But his body didn't stop, and he hurriedly ran back with the Pokémon.

He hoped this meadow would scare off the Scolipede, who was nearly elite level.

Rushing out of the forest at the fastest speed, he ran to the spot from before.

Aoki felt a bit lucky—fortunately, the leader of this Scolipede didn't have Speed Boost. Otherwise, even if he had a head start, she might have caught up.

After crossing the previous boundary, Aoki didn't stop and ran another 30 meters before gradually slowing down.

Only when he no longer felt movement behind him did he breathe a sigh of relief.

Turning around, he saw the swarm of Scolipede standing at the previous boundary, not daring to take another step forward.

However, they weren't as terrified as before, scrambling to retreat in fear.

This time, the leader of the Scolipede stood straight at the boundary, her sharp eyes locked onto Aoki.

It was the human in front of her, and the Pokémon at his side, that had drawn so many members of her group out.

As the leader of the swarm, and a leader of a relatively large group in this forest, she could not let Aoki and his Pokémon go unpunished.

Otherwise, wouldn't anyone be able to challenge the Scolipede clan?

There would be no peace in the future.

But the leader of the Scolipede was puzzled because she remembered clearly what this place was.

She hesitated, unwilling to accept it.

She could see the enemy just ahead, but couldn't step forward to catch him.

Aoki didn't dare get too close. After all, the leader of the Scolipede was quite powerful and had some long-range attacks. Who knew how far her moves could reach?

Aoki felt safer keeping more than 30 meters of distance.

The rest of the Scolipede stood neatly behind their leader, like a squad of soldiers awaiting orders.

Yet their hesitation at the boundary revealed their natural fear of this place.

The leader of the Scolipede lingered there, patient, but unwilling to cross the line.

But Aoki had gradually calmed down.

Now, he had two thoughts in mind.

One was that the Scolipede leader should stay on her side of the boundary, retreat to her own forest, allowing Aoki to use the Scolipede swarm as a Pokecoins source more freely.

But another voice in his head hoped she would step over.

What kind of Pokémon could instill such fear in a powerful Scolipede swarm?

Even when that Pokémon wasn't around, they still dared not cross the line.

Only the Scolipede leader had the courage to stand at the boundary, thinking.

The other Scolipede stood a full meter behind her.

Aoki became intrigued and ordered Slowking that if the Scolipede leader crossed the boundary and came within 20 meters, he should immediately use Teleport to get them away.

As for attacks from beyond 20 meters, Aoki believed his Pokémon could handle them in time.

But within 20 meters, there was no guarantee.

Slowking, ready at Aoki's command, gathered psychic power, prepared to use Teleport at a moment's notice.

Aoki, meanwhile, provocatively sat down on the ground, pulled out Pokeblocks from his storage, and handed them to his Pokémon. Then, he took out a bag of snacks for himself and casually began eating.

Reckless.

That's right—Aoki was playing with fire.

But if he didn't push things, he wouldn't know what Pokémon was here. That uncertainty bothered him.

He hoped the Scolipede leader would draw it out.

Sure enough, seeing Aoki so relaxed and indifferent, as if she didn't matter, the Scolipede leader's eyes immediately turned red.

She roared continuously, the hesitation in her heart growing stronger and stronger.

Aoki smirked. Let's add a little more fuel to the fire.

"Weavile, use Ice Beam on Scolipede—help her make the right choice."

"Caw!" Weavile responded.

Standing firm, he gathered ice energy in his claws.

At 30 meters, Ice Beam could still reach, though it would barely hurt the Scolipede leader.

The attack struck the Scolipede leader's head.

She felt the chill, but instead of cooling her temper, her fury burned hotter.

"Impressive patience," Aoki mused. "Weavile, now use Icicle Crash!"

Scolipede's eyes widened in disbelief as a small icicle hit her face.

It didn't hurt, but the insult was unbearable.

Her dignity as a near-elite Pokémon was shattered.

Rage erupted.

Unable to tolerate it anymore, the Scolipede leader took the crucial first step forward.

Gasps came from the other Scolipede behind her.

After taking that step, she hesitated, realizing nothing had happened.

Then, it was time to unleash her fury.

She fixed Aoki with a cold stare and charged forward.

Aoki watched as the Scolipede crossed the boundary—yet nothing unusual happened.

His expression turned serious.

"Slowking!"

Aoki's voice rang out.

Psychic energy surged around Slowking, enveloping Aoki and the others.

The power distorted space.

Teleport!

But before the Scolipede leader could close the distance—before Slowking could activate Teleport—

A dark shadow suddenly appeared on the grass!

A large, bird-like figure spread its wings, casting a deep shadow over Aoki and the Scolipede leader.

"Wait a minute!" Aoki suddenly shouted.
