Silas's POV
When I came out of the bathroom, my eyes darted around while my heart pounded like crazy.
But I didn't see anyone or anything strange, which was a relief. I sat on the bed, seriously considering staying awake the whole night.
Because when you're scared, you can't fall asleep. Obviously, I'd feel like if I did, a ghost would take the chance to kill me, thinking, Oh, he's sleeping? Perfect time to strike.
But then, I got thirsty. And honestly, locking the room's door when I was alone in the apartment didn't make much sense.
So, I grabbed my phone, stood up, and slowly opened the door, glancing outside. Of course, it was empty.
I felt like I was in some Hollywood horror movie where the MC encounters a ghost in the middle of the night inside his own damn house.
But unlike those foolish movie characters, if I ever noticed something strange, I'd run out of the house immediately. Yes, that would be the best choice.
