Silas's POV
Oh, he looked so cute while sucking his thumb. But still, I took his thumb out of his mouth, picked him up, and placed him properly on the bed, resting his head on the pillow before covering him with a blanket.
As I did, I glanced around. But… how did I end up here? Kael and I were in the cave, weren't we?
And before passing out, I saw Shine coming into the cave. Did he rescue us? Then where are they? Why am I the only one here?
Just then, Shine and Kael entered the ward.
"Silas, you're awake?" Shine said, hurrying toward me.
"Yes, I am. But how did we get here? I don't quite remember."
Then, I found out that last night, after we got separated, they were searching for us.
While looking, they reached a mountain, and after walking for an hour, they finally found us.
If they hadn't arrived in time last night… we would have died there.
As for those wolves, Shine told me it's related to some kind of scientific research.
