Daniel pushed down the guilt that was clawing at his chest and turned to his son.
Kane hesitated, and his wide eyes were filled with innocence and trust. He then said softly, "Don't blame Grandma, Daddy. She was just playing a game with me… like before."
"I'm not blaming her," Daniel said, gently stroking Rai's face.
But when he turned around, his eyes were cold and dangerous.
