Chantelle hesitated for a moment before finally asking, "Would you come with me if I told you I'm your mommy?"
"There's no if in this situation, Auntie Chantelle. Unless you really are my mother." Railer's tone was serious as he looked at her.
Doubt filled his heart as he looked at her face.
The woman in front of him looked exactly like his mother. His expression remained serious, but deep down, he was waiting for an answer.
Chantelle was startled by Railer's question.
She hesitated before asking cautiously, "Do you want me to be your mother, Rai?"
Her heart skipped a beat after asking him.
She had been gone for five years, leaving Rai to suffer in the Wilson household. Would he ever forgive her for being such an absent mother?
"It is what it is," Railer said seriously. "I wish you were my mother, but wishing won't change anything."
He looked at Chantelle, almost questioning if she was thinking clearly.
