Chantelle took one and sat with Kane to eat.
Daniel was about to say it was time to head home for dinner.
But before he could speak, Chantelle shoved a potato into his mouth.
Maybe because she fed it to him, Daniel thought it tasted extra good.
Fine. They could eat first, then leave as Chantelle suggested.
Daniel's eyes landed on Calvin, who was holding the tray of roasted potatoes.
Feeling the cold stare, Calvin understood right away.
He walked over and offered the tray.
"Potatoes, Mr. Wilson?"
"Thank you."
Daniel was satisfied with Calvin's quick response.
Daniel picked up a potato with his slender fingers and sat down beside Rai.
He peeled it carefully and fed it to Rai.
Rai blinked in surprise.
Daddy always said boys should be strong and do things on their own.
That's why Rai never asked for help.
So what was going on with Daddy now?
Rai looked at Daniel, confused.
"Daddy, didn't you say kids shouldn't be fed by adults? I can do it."
