Chapter 247 - Chapter 247: The Demon Empress Boards the Ship

Yuanen Yehui had spent so much time in Xia Yi and Gu Yue's room that Cai Yue'er had been keeping a close watch the entire time.

As soon as Yuanen Yehui returned to her own room, Cai Yue'er questioned her.

"An entire set of one-word battle armor, all forged from spirit alloys, with a 99% fusion rate—and all of it was created in less than a day."

Even Cai Yue'er was stunned for a long moment after hearing Yuanen Yehui's report.

After all, even Feng Wuyu only had a 50% success rate when forging Divine Metal.

As for Divine Metal with a 99% fusion rate, in all of Feng Wuyu's years of forging, he had created fewer than five pieces.

Yet Xia Yi could consistently forge spirit alloys with a 99% fusion rate.

How could Cai Yue'er not be shocked? She immediately sent this news back to Shrek Academy.

Xia Yi wasn't afraid of Shrek Academy learning about his forging talent.

He was already brilliant enough as it was.

In Tian Dou City, even Zhen Hua had gained insights just by watching him forge—Xia Yi's undisputed status as the number one forging genius was already recognized across the continent.

Revealing a little more wouldn't change much.

Even if he told Yuanen Yehui not to report this to Shrek Academy, Cai Yue'er would still notice something was off.

Xia Yi remained calm and composed—this wasn't Shrek City.

Even if Yun Ming wanted to personally deal with him, he had no fear.

Besides the Beast God and other Ferocious Beasts following him, he had another powerful ally.

After forging a complete one-word battle armor for Yuanen Yehui, Xia Yi and Gu Yue, with nothing else to do, stayed in their room to continue comprehending the River Diagram and Luo Book.

The Ferocious Beasts from Star Dou Forest were also present, and they all studied and discussed together.

Though each Ferocious Beast gained different insights, they could validate each other's understandings.

Gu Yue even taught them the comprehension methods that Leng Yulai had given her.

As a result, each Ferocious Beast gained some level of understanding.

Without realizing it, Xia Yi and Gu Yue received the boarding notification.

The delegation from both Douluo Continent and Star Luo Continent totaled several thousand people.

The leader of Douluo Continent's delegation was a man named Pan Wen, a secretary-general of the Federation, holding a highly influential position in the Federal Parliament.

There were even rumors that he was preparing to run for Speaker in the next election.

However, Xia Yi knew that Pan Wen's dream of becoming Speaker would soon be shattered.

Forget being Speaker—he might not even be able to keep his position as a parliamentary member.

At the bow of the ship, leaning against the railing, stood a woman with long azure-blue hair, radiating elegance and nobility, staring silently at the vast ocean.

At that moment, Xia Yi had the sudden urge to turn around and leave.

"Damn it! How did this demon get in here? What is she planning? Don't tell me she's going to bury the entire delegation at the bottom of the ocean!" Xia Yi couldn't help but mutter to himself.

The more he thought about it, the more possible it seemed.

This delegation from Douluo Continent and Star Luo Continent was made up of over half young talents, whether from Shrek Academy like Na'er, or from the Spirit Pagoda like Xia Yi and Gu Yue.

On the Star Luo Continent side, there were forging geniuses like Lin Yuhan—all of them outstanding prodigies.

The future belonged to the young.

Both continents understood the importance of nurturing the younger generation.

But if all of these young elites died at sea together...

Douluo Continent would plunge into chaos.

And as the leader of the Holy Spirit Cult, the Demon Empress was more than capable of such an act.

Yes, that elegant woman was none other than the leader of the Holy Spirit Cult—The Demon Empress.

Even Leng Yulai, someone who feared nothing, visibly trembled whenever she was mentioned.

The moment Xia Yi noticed the Demon Empress, she had already sensed his presence as well.

Or rather, she had deliberately made herself visible to Xia Yi and Gu Yue.

After flashing them a harmless smile, she leaped off the bow of the ship—vanishing into the endless ocean without making a single splash.

Her actions should have caused panic.

Yet, strangely, no one reacted.

The surrounding people acted as if they hadn't seen her at all, without the slightest sign of disturbance.

She had been standing on the bow of the ship, but besides Xia Yi and Gu Yue, no one else seemed to notice her.

Even Cai Yue'er, a Super Douluo, had walked less than a meter past her without sensing anything.

But the Demon Empress had clearly been right there.

This display of ability made Xia Yi deeply realize just how terrifying she truly was.

"This trip to Star Luo Continent definitely won't be peaceful." Xia Yi thought to himself.

After seeing the Demon Empress, Xia Yi and Gu Yue's expressions turned serious.

Once on board, Gu Yue immediately gathered the Ferocious Beasts, instructing them to be on high alert for any unexpected events.

Even though the Demon Empress had leaped into the ocean, neither Xia Yi nor Gu Yue believed she had truly left.

Since she had revealed herself, it meant she had a purpose.

And until she achieved that goal, she would not leave so easily.

Although the Demon Empress was a Ferocious Beast and had cooperated with Star Dou Forest, neither Gu Yue nor Xia Yi trusted her.

They were merely using each other.

Gu Yue and Xia Yi had to stay vigilant.

"If she doesn't provoke us, we won't provoke her. But we should find an opportunity to meet with her and ask what she's planning." Xia Yi said in a low voice.

"She hides herself well—I couldn't even sense her presence." Di Tian frowned.

If the Demon Empress hadn't appeared willingly, even he wouldn't have noticed her.

The moment she revealed herself, he locked onto her aura—but as soon as she entered the ocean, he lost track of her.

For that brief moment, he felt as if the Demon Empress had completely merged with the sea.

"Keep watching—she will definitely board the ship again. Once she does, finding her will be much easier." Xia Yi said in a serious tone.

"Daring to show off in front of us... One day, I'll make her kneel before us!" Gu Yue coldly snorted, clearly displeased with the Demon Empress's attitude.

Their discussion didn't last long.

Shortly after boarding, the ship had just left the coastline when an announcement echoed through the speakers.

"Attention, everyone! Welcome aboard the Star Luo Grand Ocean Liner! Tonight, we will be holding a grand banquet to welcome you all! Please dress in formal attire. This will be a social gathering to strengthen the friendship between our two continents. Additionally, we will have some fun games—everyone is welcome to participate!"

A social gathering?

A formal event?

"Keep your eyes on her. If the Demon Empress truly intends to act, this will be the perfect opportunity." Xia Yi said darkly.

Di Tian suddenly hesitated.

"What's wrong?" Xia Yi asked.

"She's already on board. She's heading toward the banquet hall." Di Tian paused before adding, "She's deliberately leaking a bit of her aura—as if inviting us."

"An invitation?"

"Yes, an invitation." Di Tian nodded.

Xia Yi raised an eyebrow.

"Since she's inviting us, let's go see what she wants."
