Chapter 17 - Chapter 17. Drink the Tonic

Olivia rushed to Claire's chambers, her heart pounding with concern after receiving an urgent message from Claire's maid. The maid had instructed her to drink a tonic before joining her wife, Sienna-Rose, in their bedchamber.

Arriving at the door, Olivia knocked firmly. "Lady Claire? What's happened?" she asked, her voice laced with worry.

She found Claire lying on the bed, a compress on her back and a flush across her features. "Did you drink the tonic?" Claire asked, her tone strained.

"Not yet. Why?" Olivia pressed, moving closer to her wife's side.

"Drink it, or you're going to regret it," Claire warned, her expression devastated.

Before Olivia could respond, two maids entered the room, accompanied by the family's physician. "Madam Claire?" the doctor enquired.

"That woman – our wife, Sienna-Rose – she's changed. She's turned into a beast!" Claire exclaimed, her words laced with fear. "Drink the tonic, Lady Olivia. Quickly!"

Sienna-Rose appeared in the doorway, her brow creased with concern. "Will she be alright?" she asked the doctor, her gaze shifting between her wives.

Claire remained silent, allowing the doctor to examine her. After a thorough inspection, the physician spoke up. "She's simply exhausted," he assured. "I'll prescribe a tonic and recommend ample rest."

Olivia released a breath she hadn't realised she'd been holding, her gaze shifting to Claire with a mixture of relief and disbelief. Claire, in turn, offered her a gentle smile, mouthing the words "your turn" as the doctor departed.

Once they were alone, Sienna-Rose turned to Claire, a palpable guilt weighing on her features. "I'm so sorry; I was too much, did I?" She murmured, her voice laced with remorse. She didn't know that once she started, she couldn't stop and that she would gain even more vigour from her wife.

Claire reached out, her delicate fingers caressing Sienna-Rose's cheek. "Wife, don't worry," she soothed. "It's a good thing you have four of us to tend to your needs. I surely can't handle you by myself."

Sienna-Rose's brow furrowed, a flicker of confusion passing across her face. Hearing that made Sienna-Rose feel shameful; she just did what she did when she was living on earth. "Do all of you have such weak constitutions?" she asked, her tone oblivious.

"Weak?!" Claire exclaimed, her eyes narrowing. "I am not weak, Sienna-Rose. You were simply too much for me to handle alone."

Olivia, sensing the impending tension, quietly excused herself, leaving them to talk while she needed to tell her maid to bring her a bottle of tonic. While, she sought out Haley, one of Sienna-Rose's wives, needing to discuss the situation and determine how best to support their transformed, insatiable partner.

A tonic crafted by Sienna-Rose is no ordinary elixir. This restorative potion possesses the remarkable ability to alleviate fatigue and diminish bodily pains, granting those who partake of it a renewed sense of vitality and well-being.

Olivia strode purposefully towards Haley's chambers, where she found the fourth wife in conversation with Sophia, the second wife. Haley rose to greet Olivia, the first wife, with deference.

Though Olivia, as the first wife, held the greatest power within their household, she had always preferred to live in peace, never wielding her authority with cruelty. She didn't want them to live like the other sorceress's wives, where they keep trying to assassinate each other.

"Lady Haley, that night when you slept with Sienna-Rose – did you two... have sex?" Olivia asked, her voice tinged with a hint of embarrassment.

The intimate question caught Haley and Sophia off guard, for such matters had never before been discussed so openly between them. Haley's cheeks flushed as she hastily dismissed the maids from the room.

"We did not do anything of that nature," Haley replied, her words coming in a flustered rush. "We simply spoke until I fell asleep."

"All night?" Olivia asks again.

"Not all night, but until I fell asleep." Haley is still replying while her face is flustered.

Sophia interjected with a polite inquiry. "Forgive me, Lady Olivia, but what has prompted this line of questioning?"

Olivia considered her response, understanding the gravity of the situation. "I will explain more on the morrow," she said, her gaze resolute. "For now, I must tend to other matters."

Olivia walked out of Haley's room, thinking about all the things that their talk could mean, especially the one with Claire. As soon as she came out, her personal maid was there with a bottle of tonic – but this was no ordinary elixir.

The liquid inside sparkled with a bright, almost ethereal blue-green colour, and there was an obvious glow coming from inside. This isn't a normal healing tonic; it's the usual tonic the other people consumed. It's the newest batch Sienna-Rose made after she came back from her coma.

Olivia knew that Sienna-Rose's special tonic was often given to the guards who watched over their huge estate. The guards would drink the tonic after spending long hours exploring the valley and the woods around their estate, which will make their fatigue melt away and their vitality restored.

As Olivia stared at the shimmering tonic, her mind couldn't help but replay Claire's words. The quiet, reserved woman was not one to exaggerate something – if she said Sienna-Rose's needs had grown insatiable, then Olivia knew it must be true.

This new Sienna-Rose was far different from the woman they had all married; she's changed a lot after waking up from a long coma. Back then, she had been selfish; her interest in them was more a reflection of her own vanity than any true desire.

She had sought their hands in marriage not out of love but because of their beauty, and Sienna-Rose is weak with beautiful women. And because she's a sorceress, whom the royals put in high regard, it's hard to find a family who didn't want to have a connection with a sorcerer or a sorceress like Sienna-Rose.

And for their night duties, their encounters had always been brief, lacking in the passion and romance one might expect in a loving union. Though better than Olivia's previous marriage, it had still left much to be desired.

-

Sienna-Rose paced her chamber, a mix of emotions churning within her. She could still hear the echoes of Claire's cries, the anguished pleas that had pierced her in that moment of feral passion. The memory of those tears, streaming down her beloved wife's face, made Sienna-Rose's stomach turn.

"I feel like a fucking pervert!" she muttered, her brow furrowed in self-loathing. "Is this how I always was before?"

The sorceress couldn't fathom the depths of her own desires. Once the floodgates had opened, her lust had become an unstoppable torrent, sweeping everything in its path. Even she, the master of her own arcane powers, had been helpless to rein it in.

Sienna-Rose replayed the scene in her mind – the way Claire's body had trembled beneath her, the ecstasy on her wife's face. She had been consumed by a primal need, a hunger that defied all reason.

Sinking onto the edge of her bed, Sienna-Rose buried her head in her hands. How could she have done this to Claire, to any of her wives? They were meant to be her partners, her loves – not mere vessels for her insatiable appetites.

A deep, shuddering breath escaped Sienna-Rose's lips. She had to find a way to regain control, to temper this raging fire within her. But how? As she pondered this, the door to her chambers suddenly swung open.

Olivia stood before her, the very sight of her wife making Sienna-Rose groan inwardly. "Fuck, those mediaeval lingeries hit different," she muttered, feeling the familiar heat beginning to stir once more.

"Wife?" Olivia spoke softly, closing the door behind her.

The soft, pastel silk of her robe draped elegantly over her curves, the voluminous sleeves creating an almost ethereal silhouette. "You tell me that's the body of a woman with one child?" Sienna-Rose found herself thinking, captivated by Olivia's undeniable beauty.

The robe's plunging neckline and high slit up the side revealed tantalising glimpses of Olivia's form underneath, the soft fabric clinging to the delicate curves of her body. A decorative lace embellishment cinched her waist, accentuating her feminine silhouette in a way that made Sienna-Rose's breath catch in her throat.

As Olivia drew closer, Sienna-Rose was enveloped in her captivating scent – the delicate, intoxicating fragrance of winter honeysuckle. Notes of honey and nectar mingled with a subtle, woody earthiness, creating a complex and alluring perfume that seemed to float around her wife like a sensual aura.

Sienna-Rose felt her control slipping once more, that primal hunger stirring to life within her. "Oh fuck this."
