Chapter 50 - Ch.050 You...you are Adulterers!

[~1600 Words]

Shibuya Luxury Apartment

Located in the heart of Shibuya, this opulent abode has been purchased by Eri. The two-bedroom apartment boasts an elegant living room and a spacious bathroom, covering a mere 900+ Square Feet in area.

Nevertheless, its price tag is exorbitant, surpassing ¥200 million, a sum commensurate with the luxurious living standards of first-tier cities such as Shanghai.

As a distinguished attorney, Eri Kisaki has accrued an impressive fortune through her numerous successful cases over the years.

Although she has allocated a substantial portion of her income towards saving and supporting Ran Mouri, the majority has been devoted to acquiring this singular apartment.

Having taken out a loan upon purchasing it, Eri has nearly repaid the entire amount, thanks in large part to her astute business acumen.

Even during the economic downturn, Eri's exceptional prowess as an attorney has enabled her to maintain a substantial income stream.

In Japan, she is regarded as a member of the upper echelons of society and has achieved a significant degree of financial independence.

If Kogoro Mouri wasn't so bad at making money and Eri didn't have to help out Ran Mori, she probably could've bought this apartment without needing a loan.

Takuya carefully observed the humble home as he placed the dishes in the kitchen.

900+ Square Feet is already an impressive size for an apartment of Eri Kisaki's stature; however, it remains somewhat modest compared to the residences typically occupied by individuals of her standing.

Perhaps he could arrange for a grander home for Eri, one that rests closer to his Villa, so he may steal away to her side whenever his heart desires.

Takuya hastily interjected, "Eri, let me take you to check out a new apartment soon. There's a stylish 200-square-meter duplex nearby that I think would be an excellent choice to buy."

However, this was merely a ruse, for Takuya's bank card would soon yield a staggering ¥10 billion, sufficient to purchase the duplex apartment.

"No ," Kisaki Eri politely declined, "The cost of duplex apartments is really high, and I still need a lot of funds. I need to help my parents with finances, and I have responsibilities towards Ran as well."

Takuya remained silent, his mind already set on purchasing the duplex apartment in the near future with the intention of gifting it to his Eri.

He pictured the delight that would dance across her face when she received such an extravagant present, and how willingly she would yield to his whims.

"Husband," Eri called out sweetly from the kitchen, "I'm going to make dinner for us. Please relax in the living room while I do that."

Takuya was overjoyed; his efforts had finally borne fruit, and Eri had begun to address him affectionately as 'Husband.'

However, this familiarity only extended to private moments when they were unobserved; in public, she would naturally refer to him as Officer Fujiwara.

"Wait," Takuya hastily intervened, "I've agreed to make dinner tonight. How could I let you take over the cooking?"

After being told about Eri's fantastic cooking skills, Takuya was slightly nervous that she might end up making a meal that was either unappetizing or even hazardous.

He would not risk being poisoned by her hands.

"Very well," he acquiesced after some persuasion, "leave the kitchen to me."

With great skill, Takuya was able to free himself from the predicament, steering clear of any kitchen disasters.

In the living room, Eri felt a sense of boredom and recalled the evening's festivities.

She drew the curtains, lit two candles, and spread the tablecloth in preparation for their candlelight dinner.

The atmosphere was peaceful, with only the soft flickering of the candles illuminating the space. After their dinner, Eri desired nothing more than to lose herself in a night of passion with Takuya.

"Your soup is ready," Takuya announced, carrying a steaming bowl of chicken soup and smiling warmly.

"Husband, let´s dine together," Eri exclaimed, her eyes shining with anticipation as she reached for the chopsticks.

The aroma wafting from the kitchen had teased her senses throughout the day, and she was eager to savor Takuya's culinary creations.

As Takuya observed Eri's ravenous demeanor, a faint smile appeared on his lips.

He was incredibly proud to be Chef Boy, a celebrated dragon chef famous for crafting delightful meals.

The food he served had a remarkable talent for boosting anyone's mood.

If he were to open a restaurant, it would undoubtedly become a hotspot for wealthy patrons. With the aid of his exceptional cooking skills, Takuya might even be invited to dine with prominent families as their guest of honor.

Of course, his culinary services would henceforth be reserved exclusively for his wife; no one else was worthy of such an honor.

"Drink more soup," Takuya suggested, ladling a generous portion into Kisaki Eri's bowl. "This chicken soup is genuinely fantastic and tasty"

As they shared a pleasant dinner together, their apparent happiness and harmony could easily be misconstrued as a genuine couple.

However, the truth was far more complex.

"Come now, we've finally arrived at our daughter's residence," an elderly couple chided one another, standing at the entrance to Kisaki Eri's apartment building. They were carrying luggage and appeared visibly agitated.

"We should have arrived sooner," the older gentleman reproached his wife. "We wouldn't be kept waiting if you hadn't lost your way."

With that, he proceeded out of the gate, leaving his companion to remind him to treat their daughter with kindness and respect.

Upon entering Kisaki Eri's apartment, they were confronted with an unexpected scene: a candlelight dinner in full swing.

Fujiwara Takuya and Kisaki Eri stood side by side, their eyes fixed upon the entrance as the elderly couple walked in. The two candles cast an intimate glow over the space, creating an air of tranquility.

Eri was surprised; she never expected her parents to show up, nor did she think they would find out about her secret dinner date with Takuya.

The concubine's father and mother were equally perplexed. As they entered the apartment, their gaze fell upon the candlelit scene in the living room.

Kisaki Eri was seated beside another man, not her husband as expected but an individual she had been secretly dating.

Eri looked stunned, unsure of how to react. Takuya, too, stood frozen, his mind racing with thoughts of potential consequences.

The concubine's father and mother exchanged bewildered glances, their expressions a testament to their incredulity.

"What is the meaning of this?" the older gentleman demanded, his voice laced with indignation. "You're having a candlelight dinner with...with this man!"

Eri hastily intervened, blowing out the candles and switching on the overhead lights as she stood beside her father, appearing somewhat flustered.

"Father, what brings you here?" Eri inquired, attempting to deflect attention from the situation at hand.

Takuya remained by her side, unsure of how to position himself within this unexpected scenario.

"Eri, who is this...this ruffian?" the Eri's father growled, his anger palpable as he glared at Takuya.

As a devoted husband, the older gentleman felt an overwhelming sense of protectiveness towards his daughter.

If they were divorced, he might have been more lenient in his attitude; however, since their union remained intact, he could not help but feel a deep-seated resentment towards Eri's actions.

Takuya, too, was displeased with the situation unfolding before him.

He felt an intense urge to respond to the concubine's father, yet something within him checked that impulse. "Father," Takuya began, attempting to diffuse the tension, "it is an honor to make your acquaintance. Please accept my respects."

Having introduced himself, Takuya added, "You see, Father, we have just met. I would be grateful if you could treat me with kindness and understanding."

The concubine's father narrowed his eyes, his expression a mixture of disdain and incredulity.

"Who is your father?" he snapped, his tone laced with hostility. "I am not your father! You are...you are adulterers!"

However, the older gentleman hesitated in mid-sentence, his anger momentarily tempered by the realization that Eri was still his daughter. He chose to rein in his temper, refraining from further scolding.

"Takuya, please leave immediately," Eri instructed Takuya, her voice firm but laced with anxiety as she ushered him towards the door.

Takuya stood at the entrance, silent and unmoving. He had been cast aside like a used tissue, discarded without so much as a second thought.

Fortunately, it was Eri's father who stood before him, rather than some other individual. If that were the case, Fujiwara might have given them a sinister outcome.

If someone dared to place a hat upon his head, He would be forced to kill him.
