"Away from this?" Aaran laughed. "Sera… this place is teeming with guards. You think I can just disappear without getting caught?"
If he disappeared for long, the Emperor might lose his mind. He didn't want to make things complicated just before he was supposed to leave.
Seraphina crossed her arms, intently staring at Aaran. Of course, getting in or out of the palace was impossible for him. It was the same for an ordinary human.
Fortunately, Seraphina was anything but normal.
"You can agree and leave the rest to me," she said, already chanting a spell.
Aaran sighed. It should be fine to indulge her, right? What could possibly go wrong?
"Fine."
"Hold me, tightly. Oof—"
Perhaps she thought Aaran would blush and reject. That's why she was surprised when he pulled her close, wrapping his arms around her.
"What's next?" he asked, gazing into her eyes.
Seraphina averted her gaze before quickly regaining her composure.
"Now, we fly."
