Carlos laughed, sarcasm, mirth and anger flashed in his eyes, and then he said:
"I do not care what Ragon does. He would not force me into this. And secondly, I don't want you parolling around me, telling others that I am your fiance. That should stop!"
Carlos loosened his tie in a swoop and tossed it down, his anger very evident. Then, the gruff lady stepped forward, her emerald green eyes cold and calculative.
"Do you want to put your little Añña's life in danger?"
For a moment, fear, shock and tension gripped him uncontrollably.
"That's it, you don't want her life to be in danger. Do not also forget who we are. Annabel is just a weak little girl and if you dare go against us, your little girl gets it."
"Miranda, do not get Anna involved in all of these skirmishes."
The lady laughed and said: "If you don't want to get her involved, dissolve your contract and send her away. Then, come fulfill the promise you made to King Ragon."
