The call with the bank ended just as Liam leaned back on his couch, his jaw tightening.

"They said tomorrow?" he muttered under his breath, eyes still fixed on the phone.

"Good. That works."

He needed that black card—needed the unlimited access. If the humiliation required money, he wanted no restrictions. No warnings. No transaction limits.

"Whatever it takes," he whispered. "Even if it means breaking the bank, Raymond will learn his place."

At that moment he rubbed his forehead, he was still seething. The rage was there—boiling, quiet, but fierce. The need to destroy was personal. It wasn't just about Valentina anymore. It was about pride. About reputation.

About reminding everyone who Liam truly was, then, his phone buzzed again.

It was Chloe that was coming.

He stared at the screen, his fingers hovered over the answer button, uncertain. He wasn't in the mood to deal with her. Not now.

The call ended. He thought that was it.

But it started ringing again. Same name.
