Suddenly, Ragna felt very proud of her friend. She had never felt such pride for anyone else other than her father and herself.
She placed a reassuring hand on Arin's shoulder. "We're almost there," she said, her voice steady. "We can do this, together, as you had told me." Arin smiled back at her, "Yeah, let's go!"
They continued walking ahead, the murmurs progressively fading as the webs were getting burnt in green flames around them. They approached the end of the passage and could see light at the end of the tunnel.
The air had grown warmer, and the unsettling aura was no more. However, both of them could feel the Sister's presence as an eerie sensation made their skin crawl.
Finally, they exited the traitorous tunnel and arrived in a vast, spacious cavern with strange carvings on the walls.
The Sister stood in the midst of the room, her eyes full of malice and amusement. However, it was not Sister Hayla they had met above.
