It felt like an eternity as Arin and Ragna plummeted into the dark chasm, accompanied by their ghouls. At first, they had assumed they would land in the pool of molten lava beneath the floating island. But they had been falling for so long—far longer than it should have taken to reach the lava floor.
Ragna groaned in frustration, "I'd rather fall into the lava than keep falling like this forever!"
Arin, deciding to make use of the time, calmed his mind and began meditating as they fell. After all, there was nothing else he could do. He steadied his restless thoughts, regaining composure and control. His efforts paid off when he received a notification: his Mana Pool had been fully replenished.
It was as if the world had been waiting for this moment. They had fallen so far that they feared they would splatter like goo upon impact with the surface. But when they finally landed, it was on a soft, cushioned surface—nothing like what they had expected.
