Auriya shouted at her brother and Vrrishka, "Trap the bear! NOW!".
But the kids were frozen in their positions. It was the first time they were in such a position, where there were no adults to protect them. They were all by themselves.
With great horror, they were staring at the mighty bear, which was enraged and now was struggling fiercely to free itself from the spider's web. Its angry roar was terrifying enough to shatter the kids' resolve and plummet their courage.
Auriya looked around at everyone. Her teammates were mostly lying on the ground or sitting. They had lost the will to stand on their own feet and fight. Auriya was scared out of her wits as well, but she couldn't let the team perish.
A strong emotion erupted inside her, ready to burst out. She felt a lump in her throat. She tried to cry, but the lump seemed to choke her.
But she knew she had to regain her composure, for the whole team's security was her responsibility; she could not fail her Melethron.
