The Xib'al'kah Queen hissed, "WHY? Why did you kill us? What wrong had we done to you?"
Arin smirked, "Well, I can give many reasons. But what about…" he brought his head close to her face, so close that his breath touched her face, and spoke in a menacing tone, "because I could!"
"WHAAAT????" she roared, completely losing her regal attitude and composure.
The guards clenched their fists. It felt like they were about to snap and go berserk.
Arin's Ghouls also adopted an offensive stance. They snarled in a low pitch at the guards; green eyes on their pale skin glowed ominously.
"Does a storm need a reason to fell trees in the woods, or does Flood have any grudge against life on its banks?" Arin smirked.
