As Arin and his entourage of Siterion Guards approached Serapha, they were surprised.
A massive queue of people, stretching about 1.5 to 2 kilometers, was waiting to enter the city.
The line was so long that some vendors had started selling food and goods to the people standing in the queue.
Caravans were even exchanging goods with one another.
A few street performers had set up small acts to entertain the waiting crowd and were earning good coin from the spectators.
Arin turned to Boris, curious, and asked if it was always like this.
Boris looked just as surprised, "In my career, I've come to this city three times. Never have I seen a line this long. Unless…" He paused, trying to jog his memory.
"Unless what?" Arin asked, raising an eyebrow.
"What time of the month is it, my lord?" Boris asked instead of answering.
By now, Ragna and the other guards had moved their horses to the front of the group, intrigued by the line and the conversation.
