Voices barely hiding their discontent reached Noah's ears before he could even see the mouths that uttered them. At the end of the stairs on the first floor, a long corridor led to a room resembling an office, illuminated by multiple lamps. Crates lined the walls, filled with weapons of all sorts, as well as peculiar suitcases.
"It seems you have finally arrived, young mistress."
It was Cécile who greeted Noah and Arachnea, already carrying one of the suitcases.
"While I would advise you to avoid fighting at all costs, I must ask: which weapon do you prefer? We have prepared an inventory to suit most of your needs as a newcomer," she explained.
"(Inventory? Is that what she means by those suitcases?)"
