Chapter 139 - The Pretentious Vampire Queen

"Huh... It seems that vampires are all the same!" Without exception, they're all scheming and deceitful.

"Hey, you cold-blooded monster, don't forget about me! Don't you think you're being too harsh on me?" Bevis, still strapped to his seat, reminded everyone of his presence.

Hue posed a simple yet challenging question to him, "Just call me 'Dad,' and you'll be set free!"

"Why should I? Are you even worthy of being called a father? Did you ever care about me? Did you ever love me? When Margie and I were bullied at school, it was our former father who helped us. When we were teenagers washing dishes in a restaurant, Margie was called a monster for manipulating liquids after drinking. After becoming orphans, we managed the restaurant while going to school—do you know how hard that was? Who ever cared about us?"

Bevis harbored deep-seated resentment. His grievances were too numerous to count, and even if he spent a whole day and night venting, he would still feel wronged.
